Oh yeah...I almost puked when I saw his face with Winnie Lim again on the front page of The Star. He had used his PR muscle to show to malaysians how "generous" is his SYN network is.

Ever wonder how many lifes have been wrecked by this scam? My mail box is overflowing with ex LB members wanting to get out, or get refund. They are now in deep shit, owning tons of cash.

Actually, I've decided to go on with my life, and not update the blog. But somehow, there will always be people who gets cheated from time to time. And their business is still on going, even though I've had this blog for years.

If you want to get cheated in this money game, you are pleased to do so.

Network Marketing - Another way of distributing commercial products to the user. It's a business model that combines both direct-selling AND franchising.

1.DCHL

DCHL is a network MARKETING company.Not a network RECRUITING company. No where in the DCHL marketing plan state that the only way to achieve income from this business is by recruiting people.DCHL does not sustain its income purely on recruiting distributors. Independant distributors of DCHL can always make sales by selling the products DCHL has to offer.

To put it simply, an independant distributor with DCHL is like any other salesmen, but with the power to franchise the business opportunity to others. Thus the difference between a door-to-door salesmen and a DCHL distributor is that the distributor can share the business opportunity with others.

So according to your opinions on the distributors, that means door-to-door salesmen make dirty money? and that they do not deserve a single ounce of respect just because all they are doing is trying to get income to support themselves? that they deserve less respect than any beggar on the street who isntead of trying to work for themselves purely depend on others generousity to feed themselves? .. or that Ray Kroc( Founder of the McDonalds brand ) is a filthy,money-sucking bastard for franchising his brand only to others?

2.Illegal pyramid scheme... or not?

Definition of pyramid scheme (from wikipedia) - A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves the exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, usually WITHOUT any PRODUCT or SERVICE being delivered.

So let me ask you mr Steven Yip, are the Lampe Berger lamps just illusions that do not exist? Are Estebel 1833 and Ed.Pinaud just brand names created out of thick air? Do they not get delivered to the distributors to sell or use?

As much as I respect your effort and little bit of research to try and support your claims, I resent the very fact you keep defining DCHL as an illegal pyramid scheme company without fully comprehensing the scheme(no pun intended) of things. The reason why DCHL cannot and will NEVER be taken down is because it's a valid and legal company where products are being marketed and do not malfunction and where commisions to it's distributors are never late and never not given.

All MLM companies that have ceased to operate and fail are those that either offer products that have no use whatsoever or are imitations of genuine products.This is why they fail to generate sustainable sales and income enough to pay the distributors their commision. So my question is, how on earth will DCHL be considered a company that functions illegally when it's products marketed are genuine, and it's commision payoff to it's distributors never fails to arrive on time and whole?.. Unless of course it is a LEGAL company :).

3."But only the person at the very top earns the most!". Truth of fact?..

While I admit the higher the position you are in DCHL, the more likely your income will be higher, I also wonder what's wrong with it?

Many people assume that the people in high positions in DCHL are people who joined early.Truth is, many of the Marquises and Dukes (quite high positions) are distributors who have joined just NOT SO LONG AGO. "How do they earn more than their upline?" you ask?, By earning those positions through sheer hard-effort in achieving the sales-quota.So of course their income is higher as the sales they generate in order to achieve those positions are higher than an odinary distributor!

There's no logic if a business that generates more sales than another gets less income than the other is there?

Besides, ask around and you will see that just because you are an upline of someone in DCHL does not mean you earn more than your downline.For example..just because you have a Duke as your downline does not mean you earn as much as a Duke.

While on the other hand, I have not heard of any corporations or companies that offer higher salaries to employees of lower levels. Employees of higher position will DEFINITELY have a higher salary than a lower one.If you can list a single company that pays more to its Receptionist than to its CEO, please do kindly share it with me.

4."My upline only wants me to work so he can get all the benefits"..Truth or fact?

While I think I have answered this quite clearly in my previous point, I wish to point out this obvious fact:-

-Your superior as an employee reserves the right to stop your income by firing you if you fail to do your given work.
-Your upline DOES NOT have the right to stop your income NOR fire you if you fail to build your own business.

I have not seen a case in DCHL where a distributor is forced to do sales for his upline just because he won't have income if he does not. And that's the beauty of this business!

5."My brother lost rm30K+ for investing in a Count position because his upline LIED to him!"... Who is the real liar?

As far as I am concerned, the reason distributors in DCHL invest in the count position is because of the various advantages and perks business-wise one gets when making sales from the said position.Any distributor that has a business mindset will definitely prefer to start their business from a position that allows them to maximise their business timewise and moneywise.

That being said, there is NO rule in DCHL that states a distributor MUST invest for the Count position before they begin their sales.So if there's no such obligation for distributors to do so, why then are so many people still saying DCHL forces it's distributors to invest?

When a "former" distributor starts feeling that their money is "lost" through investing in DCHL, I feel a certain tinge of sadness for them. Not because they "lost" their money, but because they are LYING to themselves.

An example of losing your investment is losing your money on the share market where at the end of the day you lose your shares also as well.On the other hand,when the Count money is invested you gain not only the position but the stocks accordingly.Also as part of DCHL's marketing plan, you never lose your position no matter how fast or slow you build your business.So please explain to me how can the investment be lost?

No offence , but my opinion is people who feel that they start feeling that they are not capable of generating any sales and that suddenly they feel this business is too hard to achieve and be successful in. Yet they blame their uplines/the business/the company/Steven Yeam (I can't stop myself from laughing here) for their failure to make use of the opportunity presented to them. May I ask then who's the real liar?

While I cannot deny it is a human trait to naturally find a scapegoat for anything that goes wrong, I resent people who look at others as the scapegoat instead of themselves.In DCHL's marketing plan, there's no such thing as you losing money in it. Even if you do not manage to make sales after investing, at the very least you get your products as well as (very importantly) the position. So to all the people out there that feel that they got cheated by their uplines, instead of whining and spreading false rumours, why not use those efforts into building up your business again?.

6.In conclusion

As much as I wish to convince you of your huge misconception towards DCHL, I understand you will have many other reasons to believe otherwise.As said at the start of this post, I respect you very much Mr Steven Yip.While I do not expect you to post what I had written as a main blog entry in your blog, at the very least I sincerely and utterly hope you will bring up some of the points I mentioned.While you may still have your doubts and negativity , I do hope that it can be cleared through a proper discussion instead of in a way where neither of both parties stand to benefit.

A DCHL/SYN member

I won't go on arguing all the points, but only one:

If it's a network marketing company and not recruiting, how come the culture of people in there reflects otherwise? You see, the problem is, the incentive provided by DCHL is allowing people to jump the rank queue by buying your position up. As for the uplines, they know if a new member joins, they will earn their part. And somehow, the uplines can earn even more if the newly joined member fork up more cash to buy baron or count.

DCHL of course, will protect themselves legally with a bunch of well written contracts. Legally, the network members themselves are in the losing end. Most of them don't read it fully, or are not aware of them.

The best example is mine. My brother joined in as franchise by paying 2k plus. I was thinking...alrite...it's a bit expensive, although I totally disagree. Then he somehow wanted to pay 30k for count position. This is where you are pulling more than an arm and a leg from the member. You are creating social discord between friends, families and relatives. In the end he got 30k from my dad's KWSP money. Let me tell you one thing, my dad worked 10 hard years in a factory for that retirement fund. And now it all ended up in DCHL lampe berger. And to this date, my brother has quit (without a single sale). The point I want to show here is, there's a culture of pushing people to jump queue.

And I want to touch on one aspect that keeps me wondering why MLM is such a flawed concept.

In a basic transaction, you are the seller, and you go find your potential customers. You sell them the stuff, and they pay you for that.

And that's all.

But in MLM, you are the seller, and doing both selling and asking the customer to be another seller. Isn't it odd? Notice why insurance salesman don't go recruiting a bunch of downlines? Because the market will soon be saturated, and then who will be the customers then? The point is, the number of sellers go up and up, and soon, you won't have anyone to sell to.

So how does this makes sense?

It does spells fast growth for the company sales, but suicidal to be a network member (if you are at the lowest). You can't be selling stuff among yourselves, do you?

Why am I posting this? Because it reminded me the last time I used f**k in my posting Fuck Lampe Berger. And also why I used it.

And there's also a reason why I keep getting these hate mails. I know Search Engine Optimization, and have used it to the fullest to capture keywords that are being used to find information on lampe berger.

For example, search "dchl" in google. This site comes up on the first page. Or try searching for "Lampe Berger" in yahoo. Previously, searching for yahoo will also show sponsored ads on the right bar. But I believe that since my blog keep appearing on the first page, advertisers lost interest.

Noticed that the title has "DCHL Lampe Berger" as the title and also URL? I am still getting traffic via search engines, even though I seldom blogged as this is not my priority anymore. Average traffic per day is around 100 unique visitors. Mainly from Malaysia.

Note that this is legal for SEO. I did nothing but natural blogging while targeting a set of keywords to play around with.

So lampe berger guys....you are fucked. Don't mess with a geek.

Another Member Quits DCHL Lampe Berger (part 2)

Here's the 2nd part to the email. While I cannot say that all Lampe Berger members do business this way, but I think majority of them do. This is how network works. Uplines will teach downlines how to start getting more people in. And this blog is not owned by SYN or SGN.

Regarding the last post, actually I am not sure whether it's good to post that or not.I was very angry with them because they wanted to delay the payment for the 2nd time.Thank God I have received my refund (RM18k) after threatening them that I am going to report to DCHL and police if I don't get my money back ASAP.

In Islam also it is not good even it is a sin to hate each other.I don't mean to treat them as my enemy but they really made me mad. I think I have responsible to share my experience to others.I followed their activities non-stop about 2 months and understand enough their tactics.
I need to clarify why I said I have been cheated.

I went to the seminar in DCHL and the Marquis said invest 33k and if we refund within six month we can get back 90%.Actually a good MLM is one which is affordable by most people. (But of course you have to look also the other criteria.)And they also said that LB is a low risk business. But it is not. They did not tell me that the 33k will include about RM10k non-refundable product. I invested in really 'kelam kabut' situation because could not wait to get started. I was influenced by their friendly and supportive group and I really believed in my friend. They did say when we decide to invest 33k never look back but remember God has the power to change people's mind. In my case, I was too excited to get started and did not think that I would quit but when I felt something is wrong I had to make decision to quit.When invest, I asked my upline to choose the products for me, and did not expect the non-refundable products cost about RM10k.I told them that I wanted to try the anti-acerian but did not expect they will include up to 8 sets! They said that if I take anti-acarien less I have to pay more.Since I didn't want to pay more I just agreed without thinking the risk that I am going to face if I quit. I was too excited that I could not think carefully at that time. In the training they asked me to love the product and try them. And I tried lots of the products which cost about RM5k.Actually I was influenced by them which encouraged me to invest without thinking carefully. I have to admit that it was my fault not to think carefully.I assume this as my 'pengalaman hidup' and a lesson for me.

Why I quit?They maybe will tell people I quit because I gave up but actually just before I made decision to refund I managed to warm up 2 friends and I was very sure they will join but I quit before I bring them to the office. I quit because I felt uneasy with their activities and not sure whether the biz is 'halal' or not. I just can't imagine how my downlines will get mad at me if they are not able to get money from the biz which could break our friendship.So I'd better stop. I don't want to ruin my friendship with others.

Why I say it is not advisable for muslim to join LB?First-they teach people to lie. When we invest for count we will get rebate about RM2k and they taught me to tell people that the RM2k is my first income.Second- they encourage members to join the tea party usually at night about 9-10 pm. Where in Islam it is not good for women to hang out mixed with guys at night.At the tea party they will talk about the biz and show off that some of them have quited their job and make much money with LB to influence others who haven't joined.Third- There are other activities which I felt not comfortable with where they encourage the audience to scream, sing and dance to burn the 'semangat' in ourselves and to influence others.
Before joining them I searched the internet and found this blog and felt afraid to join LB, but since I believe in my friend I ignored this blog. When I told themabout this blog they said that they are failure people and don't follow them plus the blog owned by SYN not SGN.
People who are engrossed in the biz won't realize something is wrong in that biz because they are happy getting lots of money, but the ones who make decision to refundwill understand the deceptions in this business.

For those who are thinking to join, it's up to you to join or not, but make sure you think carefully and don't join to follow and believe your friend.Make sure you understand and read the company policy.The members will tell you that you are going to make lots of money if you join them but you have to work very hard. Imagine you come back from work, you are tired then you have to join their training @ tea party. When I joined their activities I usually went back home at about 11-12 midnight and the next day I have to wake up early and go to work again. Usually if I came back home late at night they next day I always got drowsy at office and neglect my job. Just imagine how tired I was. I also had to neglect my time with my baby. I went to work while my baby was still sleeping and when I came back from their activities my baby already slept. You also have to contact your friends just to give them clue that you are doing a good biz and hoping they will join you. I am just sharing my experience, it's up to you to join or not, if you think you will love their activities, pls proceed.

DCHL lampe berger business still growing

Based on my sources, this DCHL is still enjoying good growth. Currently I am not actively updating this blog. I know, a blog can only reach those who have online access. There's a majority who still don't have internet access. Their main source of news are the mainstream newspapers, where most of the stuff are filtered before published.

While feeling a bit sadden that this business is still attracting people, I have to face the fact that this is not a perfect world, where everyone thinks the same. Some like short cuts. Some like to analyze first. No one has perfect knowledge of something beforehand.

So lampe berger guys, you still can party on, but money don't fall from the sky. And no business can sustain itself on deception.

I am one of the member and will lost half of RM33k. I hope I can get back the half by this month.
I havent got the money yet, I gave them chance but now they are asking me to give them chance again.
They said they want to buy my account to help me not to 'rugi' so much, but I know they afraid they will lost PV if they refund my products. My upline is a Marquis challenger and I know she really needs the PV.
They cant give me the money before I go back to Malaysia to change the account name.
FYI, I am in Japan now.

I did not refund because I couldnt get any dlines, I could have if I want but I made decision to refund
before my friends join me..I could smell something wrong with the biz, I believe it is not a halal biz for muslims.

Government Supported Scam

I received an email from Dennis, who wrote a lengthy email on the subject. Now the government so far has not done any investigation on DCHL despite the media coverage and complaints done.
But it's a good thing they done away with all those internet investment schemes.

Yesterday i went over to DCHL company after a few persuasion by a girl
friend of mine. I had actually planned to dabble around with secondary
objective to have a first person view at their battle ground.

Impressively, the firm has invested nearly 11 million on 4 floors presenting
a luxurious and creditable image to stranger like me. With all those
inducement of their century health care product namely lampe
berger,estebel,EB etc as well as their promise of opening new branches at
Japan and Korea in near future was clearly enticing enough to dupe people
with weak inhibition.

The official(my friend's senior) does the talking instead of my friend. That
explain much why my friend is reluctant to let me know the way their
business work at the mamak store and insist me to have a ground view. My
friend clearly doesn't have the sufficient knowledge on how DCHL or rather
SYN works therefore I presume that's when the offical came in to talk with
me. It's so freaky when every official my friend introduced to me , talks to
me like they know me aka super friendly.

I'm a law student and conscious about what's going on in Malaysia especially
the political scene. Our Prime Minister Pak Lah has given DCHL a 2 year
national recognition for having the best health(correct me if I'm
wrong)product .Oblivious to a lay person, in Malaysia its a nation where
money speaks louder than words. It's a norm to bribe the government in
return for their unduly support such as a piece of pathetic certificate.
Similar with datukship.

I talked to an offical named Maggie whose originated from Guang Zhou. She's
keen on telling me a whole bunch of her luxurious story life in DCHL which I
found unfascinating and irks me the most instead of the business plan. I
told her please go straight to the point,how does this business work as I
really had enough of their smooth talking.

Maggie compared their scheme with those sms where you're required to forward
to few friends and the company basically earn money everytime the sms is
forwarded. She say that's how their system work and it's contemporary
business plan where middle agent makes the most money out of a transaction.
I blatantly dissent and boldly refute, "Isn't that scamming?" She went into
silent but later divert me into irrelevant topic such as those rich fantasy
dream that entails,again.

Maggie having a tough time persuading me that's when another official
intervene. As expectedly, all of them speak the same language. Sweet talking
and daydreaming. Fast car and hot chick.

In a nutshell, DCHL is a government supported scamming company which uses
the franchised product as a disguise. They doesn't really promote the
product much but more to their new business plan aka SYN.

I'm in utter livid mode right now for I failed to dissuade my friend from
joining DCHL.

There's a few setbacks if you really want to investigate DCHL Lampe Berger. The reason is they are playing by the law. Their business, are legal, although there's loopholes. Whatever wrong done in the business is always the network (people's fault). That's unwritten. In fact their code of conduct prohibits the network from doing all this.

But like from the start of this blog, I have been highlighting why I think Lampe Berger is the most dangerous scam compared to other MLM. It's because you can BUY your position up. And it's not cheap. Count position can be 30k over. Baron can be 10k plus. And since the network keep on pestering the new guys with high hopes to upgrade, they finally fall into that trap.

Greed makes people jumping in. Blinded? yes. Same thing goes with KLSE now. Everyone is jumping into it.

But give a thought about it. What is the VALUE in the economy chain when you keep on recruiting people in, forcing or pestering them to buy higher position? There's zero value in it. Now how could a zero value contribution to the economy makes someone a millionaire? Impossible is the answer.

Report DCHL Lampe Berger to Police

I received an email from Mr Khoo. He had lodged a police report against DCHL lampe berger because his cousin and another friend got cheated. I urged lampe berger SYN members who feels the same way, to go to the nearest police station and do your own police reports. If more applications comes in, these guys will get under investigation.

I read your web site and I am sad that many people have been cheated by certain gang(s) of people at SYN. I cannot say that I am surprised as myself, my cousin and a friend were also conned by them. I have discussed this matter with my lawyer and a police officer and they have advised that this is a case of cheating and that this is a police matter. However, a police report will have to be lodged for the police to investigation. Police report can be lodged at any police station or at the commercial crime investigation department at Bukit Aman. Alternatively, you can consult a lawyer or your MP to assist you to make the police report. Do not suffer in silence. You can do something constructive. If these people should be found guilty of an offence then they will be penalised by a court of law and you will also be able to sue them for your loss and for compensation. Yes, this cause of action will be time consuming and require some effort but it is certainly better than suffering in silence and standing-by helplessly while they go about ripping off other innocent victims. You will also be helping others in the same position as yourself as well as helping to prevent more people falling victim to them.

These days, I kept on getting news on dchl lampe berger, and how SYN is terribly the worst MLM in malaysia. Read on...

Hey Steven (is dat your real name anyway?)

I came across your blog by chance and I truly admire that someone like you
is really not afraid to speak up your mind for what is right to the society.
What I am about to write, I hope you will post it on your blog for other
readers to read.

One of my friend who is an LB member brought me to his company annual dinner
at Sunway Hotel, and that is when I get to know about Lampe Berger. Many of
their members seem so friendly with me.. but for what purpose? To persuade
me to pay them money to join their LB scheme of course. One of their top
'convincer' talked to me and said things like "you join our business, this
is like a gift for your girlfriend. You earn more money to make your
girlfriend happy". Smart talk right? I was almost pulled

At first I was almost convinced to join Lampe Berger since they keep telling
me stories about how some of their members become succesful and earn 6-digit
salaries by joining Lampe Berger. I argued with my father to give me RM2.5k
to join, but luckily he was stubborn. I want to have money, and everyone
does... that's why there are some people who are still blinded by these LB
scheme.

After a long and hard thinking for a few days, I came up with my own
conclusion which I warned to some of my friends, and it's effective. You
see... Lampe Berger is not really a scam, but an unethical scheme. You CAN
earn lots of money by investing RM2.5k or RM30k into the business. But at
what cost?

Do the people who join Lampe Berger ever think about who are they going to
invite into this scheme? Obviously the best people they can invite to join
them are FRIENDS who trust them. You don't go around and simply ask
strangers to give you RM2.5k rite?
But what happens if your friend invested in RM2.5k but they didn't make it?
They start to blame you... they start losing their trust in you.. they avoid
themselves from you and so are your other friends. Yeah sure, go ahead and
earn money by asking your FRIENDS to join and get them into trouble. If you
want to make money and lose your friends and your reputation, then Lampe
berger is the best scheme for you. If money is more important than your
friends, then join the LB scheme. Go ahead and join... and see yourself
struggle to earn money by cutting down your number of friends. Because of
your greed for money, YOU GIVE UP YOUR FRIENDSHIP, which cannot be bought
back with the money you made from your unethical cheme.

I have seen some people who persuade their friends to join MLM (not only
Lampe Berger). I don't see them having so much friends around them. But in
the end after they quit their MLM, they realize how stupid they are to join
MLM at first place. My friend who tried persuading me to join LB was very
friendly, treated me nicely, spend money on me, and was close to me. After
knowing that I will not invest a single cent in his business, he stopped
seeing me.

I'm sure alot of you have heard countlessly from LB members, saying that
"you pay RM2.5k, if you never work hard, you'll lose money. If you work
hard, you will be very succesful and earn alot of money". Yeah that's true
what they said... but did you ever consider that by 'working hard' means
troubling your friends and make them lose money for the sake of your profit?
If you and your friend suceed, then bravo... but just remember that MLM is
not for everyone, and when there are some people who suceed, there are
others who fail.

In conclusion, LB is not just a 'morality scam', but also an unethical way
of doing business. Please take my advice and don't lose yourself by joining
Lampe Berger. The reason why i decided to post this is so that my friends
and you (readers) think harder before you join in ANY MLM scheme. Think of
your loved ones.

it's me again.. i'm mad, confused and very frustated with my sister behaviour. I made her to promise to stop for a while thinking about the scheme until she has finished her final exam. Yes, she had promised me. But, suddenly after few days she rang my aunt asking to borrow 1K.. She has broke her promise to me.. Then my aunt got worried.. tell my mom. My mom advised her to discuss the matter with my father after she had finished her final exam. My mom even asked her to do a proper paperwork if she really wants the 36k from my father. (Well, to involve in business.. you should have a paperwork right?). She promised again to put aside for a while about this 'lamp' thing until she finished her final exam. But, again she broke her promise, willingly to go back home in the middle of the exam week.. to ask my father for 36k!! My father refused to gave her. But she insist.. at least give her 5K. You see.. how determine she is to involve with the 'lamp'?? I really don't understand. The introducer of this DCHL is friend of my brother. He said 36K is optional. But, seeing my sister behaviour, it tells you the other way. I have no more ideas how to stop her. What scaring me is if she persuade her friend, which is our neighbour, to join as well.. I'm very scared now.. I'm afraid that her friend's family will be our enemy just because of this silly thing. My father had made her to choose between her studies and the 'lamp'. She chose her studies.. but I hardly want to believe her after she broke her promises to me.

I did asked my sister to read all the blogs about DCHL,Lampeberger scam.. etc.. however all those writings in the blogs did not even a little to make her think again and stop joining. I just don't know what else to do... Pls.. if you can just help me.......

I am writing this post, because I am fed up with the malaysian public who are into these scams. I try to rationalise why they joined it. Is it because of naiveity, lack of financial knowledge, or just pure greed? Is it because, they believe that the ends justify its' means? Or is it money has become the god of their hearts?

Money, has, and will continue to be the focus of human pursuit. It's everyone dream to be filthy rich, and sipping mango juice in a tiny glass with umbrella, relaxing beside a pool in the Carribean. But how come these gullible people can still put their head into this, and believe it will be their ticket out?

What pisses me off, is that I still get comments from Swisscash investors singing praises for this scam. Even as Bank Negara Malaysia has put up a press statement warning it's unlicensed.

When you look at such an investment, I am telling you...yes..telling you...don't even try to join it. Even if you see those who joined, has got rewarded. It's plain simple as a ponzi game. The money to pay off the early investors are from the later investors. So the money just keep on pilling up and up, until at one point, the scammer has had enough, and shut down the whole goddamn investment.

I have seen this kind of mentality in Malaysians in StudioTraffic forum, HYIP blogs, and sites like those. It's a sick, sick, sicko mentality. Money for nothing? and chicks for free?....well you will get chicks after you got tons of money...there's a universal law of attraction between $$$ and chicks.

After doing so much thinking, I can just summarise there's 2 types of people joining this. First those who knows nothing about how investment runs. They are what you say, lacking knowledge. They are the ones who could not figure out, how businesses works. They could not fathom how these scammers run their operation. Nobody wants to point a finger at themselves, and say they are dumb. Once they believe it's true, they seldom make second opinion on the matter. And so they whole heartedly jump into it. And bringing their friends, relatives along.

The second group of people are the ones, who knows it's a scam, but join nevertheless. They know how it works, they know when to get out. They know it's just a short term "investment". But they are there for the ripoff.

I reckoned, the first group are the majority ones.

Ok, so we know a lot of Malaysians are running off the cliff to join all these HYIPs, internet scams, but what can we do about it? History will keep on repeating itself, again and again. We can't really stop the scammers since there's bound to be someone with ideas to strike the next scam.

First of all, those who want to invest...go learn more on business and finance. Equip yourself with how actually those business runs. Even legal business knows how to twist the facts. Yes, including DCHL lampe berger.

Secondly, there's no such thing as easy money. Ever. Period.

Thirdly, be honest, and work a decent living, either if you are a salary man, or businessman. If you want to get rich, don't rip people off. I have chatted with a businessman, who has seen many stories on cheating. Conman don't have peaceful lives. Yes, you may get away with it, but you won't be able to sleep soundly. There's something not lasting about money that is earned the wrong way. It will come easily, and go easily.

As I am writing this, I am scared to death. All the while I don't think that I could be involved in some business scam such as MLM. Many friends have approched me before; Amway, Zhulian etc ect. My colleague whom I barely known (she just join my company for 4 months) approached and insisted me on joining this LB.

The story is more or less the same. I even paid her RM250 just yesterday (she brought me to "her" office in menara HLA) out of the blue in order for me to attend their gathering (or something) this weekend in a hotel, with closing from their chairman (or something). She insisted me to pay another RM2500 end of the month, and persuaded me to make personal loan for RM30K. She even call around, asking her friends who work in banks to let me make personal loans. I am terrified now. She really scares me.

I forwarded to her your blog and LampeBergerHelp. But she laughed and said she knew about it long time ago. She told me I should know what I want.

What I want? Eeee I don't want to join them! But Im not so sure now, because I've signed a form when I paid RM250 yesterday. She didn't give me a copy of that form, so I don't know what's the term. I'm afraid that if I don't pay RM2500 end of this month or later RM30K, they will take actions againts me.

Blame me. I'm greedy. Yah..I had a hard time, and think that money would solve everything. Geez..what am I thinking? BUt they way they pushed me and bring her husband lah, her brother lah, her best friend lah..makes me feel uneasy and you can say that I dont want to get embarassed not to pay the RM250...Is that their trick?

Sorry, these days...nothing much to update. But here's another email, describing his experience being prospected. Notice the culture of materialism they exhibit.

Its great that you've taken a step to providing a database of awareness of
such scam. Im sure it'll be doing a whole great deal for everyone out there
who are most likely vulnerable to fast money and such.

Here's an experience i had, a friend, a chick more rather, pretty hot too,
called me out of the blue to talk to me about my music career (i'm a
musician btw), curious about how i come about funding my projects and studio
hours. Showing so much interest in my passion, she decided to tell me that
she might have a solution for me to further my music interests such as
building my own studio, and this and that which was quite a shock to me.

So she brought me to that Building where the fellowship of the lamp members
gather and pulled my attention to every member, stating that the cheapest
handbag a girl would carry would be a Luis Vuitton handbag, while for guys,
some other designer apparel.

I was brought up to a certain level to meet a certain individual named Alex
who mentioned that he studied at The One Academy, studying gaming creation
or some sort. No idea. Before entering the room i was pleased to see many of
my high school seniors and aquaintances all around whom i've not seen for
years. They were all drop outs from college, but very well dressed indeed
for drop outs.

Back to Alex, so he began his speech by saying, "ah, today i just needed to
spend some money as i have too much to spend so i bought myself an MP3
player that cost me about 800 bucks". I'm familiar with gadgets as i am a
sucker for gizmos. I'm pretty sure he had a cheap RM200 made in china piece
of crap mp3 player. With RM800 you could have gotten an ipod or something
better.

Next he would then bring up his achievement in the business and have jsut
recently put down a payment for his brand new Toyota Celica, which was his
dream car. I was told he was earning close to RM70K a month with his status,
and just a Celica? He explained all the usuals mentioned on your website,
and i was really pissed off at my friend for wasting my time bringing me to
a freak show.

i left the building not intending to join at all. She called and called
telling me how beneficial it'll be to my music career while i could just
tell her to suck my dick and i might just bloody well consider if i were to
pick up your call again.

This has been a very long winded email but i hope your fight against this
organization will come through one day and you will have my support. Keep up
the good work

My Brother Quits Lampe Berger

Finally,

My own brother who joined last few months, decided to quit the network. But since it's been more than six months, there won't be any refund. We had a talk on this issue. I am in good terms with him. No point in conflicts, but to look ahead.

For visitors who knew the early part of the main reason I created this blog, it's because of my brother who is still in college who decided to joined DCHL.

That was when, I went to DCHL to f**k him up, after learning he just joined as Count

Now, the main reason he quit is because he finally found out the true deceiving nature of his uplines. To be fair, this does not apply to all lampe berger members, but enough to dirty the name of SYN.

You see, the 30k money is from my dad's retirement money. So, lucky him, he does not need to borrow from friends, relatives or ah longs. 30k is a big deal for middle class income earners.
So, it's obvious, that his uplines only wish to get him in, so that they could get their hands on another victim of 30k.

But once he joined, he found out, it's tough to go to HLA at nite, and talking about this business to prospects. Especially if you are a student. And also, his upline thought him the skills of how to pull in people, which he feels is incorrect.

And most lampe berger members, would fake that they are wealthy, but they are not.

Now, for SYN members out there, yes, you might be angry of the existence of this blog. But try to think, why the people who oppose this business is ten times pissed off. SYN is deceiving and robbing the society off their money.

SYN members are living in a fantasy economy land, as tough this business can bring them instant wealth. While the rest of us, are waking up every morning, and working in reality.

So far, my brother has not earned back a single sale. Successfull SYN members will classify this as another failure. But if you look af the percentage of people not making the cut, it's way higher than the succesful ones. The reason is, this business has a 99% failure rate. Of course, most will fail. But arch duke Steven Yeam, will still be yapping around, saying he can make millionaires out of ordinary people.

And now, my brother has resorted to working part time in a hotel, which pays like RM 500 / month. Hey, at least it's honest money.

Fake things never last. No matter how much you want to fake your wealth, it will just impress momentarily. But deep inside, Lampe Berger members know this. But why do they keep on faking it?

It's human nature to boost more than they have, but you know it's not going to last. Real wealth in fact, is not so easy to get. You need real entrepreneurs for this kind of task.

Talking about real wealth, I will leave something to ponder.

How we think about wealth.

It's sometimes pretty interesting, to note how far people would go chasing wealth. They tend to think, XYZ company is worth 1 billion dollars, that "man" is worth 0.5 billion. But if you think deeper, ... does it really matter?

Yes, Lim Goh Tong might have his millions, and we don't even have 1 million ourselves (I mean majority of us...maybe some millionaire who is reading this blog will think otherwise).

Money is God in our society, so much that chasing wealth has pretty much preoccupy lots of people's time.

But there's one more thing that people tend to forget when conjuring up the meaning of wealth. For example, how about the fresh air to breath, nice tropical rain forest that we can enjoy in Malaysia, and a nice existing roof on top of our heads. Or how about the current peace we are enjoying, where we don't need to put up with war.

If we were to put a monetary value to all these "free" luxuries, I reckoned, it would be in the millions or billions. Only that, we can't really count them, because we don't know where to start counting.

Yes, we need to work and survive...at the same time accumulate wealth, but don't forget the things we already have, which is worth much more...

Business for Lampe Berger (malaysia), is kind of slow these days. But still there's people joininig, which means they are not out of business yet. In fact, they are celebrating their 5th bloody anniversary.

It's bloody because, their money is the result of family conflicts, friends breaking up, and higher personal debt to fund a dream of lies.

What's funny is they treat this as a business, which is not really. It's a system, and this system won't last. There's only a finite number of people in Malaysia, which are divided into 2 groups. One, who doesn't buy the idea, and another is the one who buys it.

But even from the group who buys the idea that DCHL Lampe Berger can make them lots of money, there's still those who can't afford it.

It's no wonder why they play with physchology and emotional high, to make you feel better once you become a member. So high is the attachment of member to his goals, that he's willing to do anything to grab the higher ranking. He's willing to borrow money, either it's banks or friends, parents, with the hope, it all ends well. But at the end of the road, who do you blame when you can't make the million dollar dream? Yourself.

It's all part of the package of selling you...a dream of lies.

I got another email about Lampe Berger. You can actually summarize this is what is all about the business scam.

It's a product disguised pyramid scheme. The product is to legitimise it. But the whole idea...is getting people to sign up (who has to pay up high fees), so the upline can earn part of it. And the company earns also. And from this never ending chain...it has to end somehow....the bottom are the losers.

Why, are some people so easy to be cheated?

Greed, and not street smart.

Just yesterday I met an old friend and he took me out for a drink, he started talking about how only money matters and that it's no point having a job you are passionate about. He talked a lot too. He was never like that, he had a strong passion for animation and even attended animation college. He was always quiet and kind. But now he really talked up a storm and when I said he has changed from his timid self, he said that is life and you have to change to survive.

He took me to SYN and some guy called stanly there gave me the sales pitch. It took almost 4 hours and after that they went out for tea again and so I was with them for a total of 7 hours. He said the same things my friend said to me and that is when i figured out who brainwashed him. After getting back home and thinking clearly about everything they said, after filtering out all the fancy words and propositions like "It's a franchise", "RM2500 is a small price to pay for a license", "You are buying our system", "We are not a direct sales company", I understood exactly what this company does. It's basicly a recruitment pyramid scheme that would be illegal if they did not give you anything for the $2500 you pay to sign up with. They say they are selling a franchise, a system to help you do buisness and set up a network. But their system is nothing more then the knowledge of how to recruit more people with a shady sales pitch. They spend all their time talking to each other about how to do buisiness when in reality there is no buisiness to do. They do not get income from the public as they do not sell anything, they do not realize that they are the prey and their so-called leader Steven Yeam is the hunter. They say by signing up you get the E-Card which is a license and you can buy Lamp Bergers at distributor prices but there is no point in doing that as they have also mentioned that they do not do direct sales.

But you knew all of that having been through it. The reason I am writting to you is to ask you if you have any advice on what I can do to help my friend? He is like all the others a total zombie now. He doesn't listen to what I have to say and I can't get through to him at all. You mentioned they will ask you to invest 30k laters? IS there any chance you could fill me in on what happens next? He just joined about 1 or 2 months ago, if there is anything I can do to prevent him from losing all of his life savings, I would like to atleast try. So please, any help at all would be extremely appreciated.

This is the case of mine : i join LB last year SEPT.. it was a BIG MISTAKE i ever did as i was being frequently pyscho by my upline who is Mr.J and Miss.C . they keep pushing me until one day i cannot tahan and i agreed to join LB. the problem is i told them i had no money, imaging : RM2345 from a college student ( where can they get this huge amount of money, other than borrow from friends or family?) in the end, they ask me to join 1st and they SO CALLED dont mind PAY BACK to them later when i start to earn back.

Sincerely, after i joined.. calls keep coming in, asking me to do this and that, follow up and down, and what so called COME OUT and MEET OUR top earners and know more friends....... i really sick of it as i couldnt cope with my studies since ever after i join LB. my housemate even ask everytime before i go out :" go sell BOMB again ar? " SELL BOMB (i agreed after i regretted for not listening my friends and family advice)

One day after 1 year i keep avoiding my upline cause i really feel very FAN of them... they purposely drove far down to my house and give me a call .

after a few minutes, i send a SMS telling them to give me their Bank Acc number so that i can bank in the money to them. and a SMS replied by them : " Maybank xxxx-xxxx-xxxx(Cxxxxx Lx Kxxx). bank in RM2000 by MONDAY, else i will take action! "

that time i was at outstation. The night when i bck and i check my house letter box. this is the paper i found ....................not just 1, but 2 paper for each letter box, not just that and also in 2 version of language.. WOW =.= i guess they are really desperate for getting back money in such a AH LONG ways.

Hi. I have new insider info regarding SYN's campaign efforts to rebuild their name. Being an ex-member of SYN myself, I have tried to warn my friends of their new schemes. Their new system is called PAY-IT-FORWARD. What they do is they will go all out to invite you to meetings (all paid 'forward' by SYN) in an attempt to sway you to believe that their people are going all out to help you.

These meetings do not talk about product or marketing plan. Rather they talk about how good the MLM industry is and do sharing afterwards telling you how MLM changed their lives. After the talk then only they will start winning you over with friendship or love bombing so the 'p' will feel at home and would willingly want to know more about the LB business.

PAY-IT-FORWARD is actually a front to retain their members and change their image. However, what they don't pay forward for you is the FRANCHISING FEE (RM2345) which you still have to fork out yourself. Having all sorts of free meetings and 'sharing' information or awareness is just a smokescreen to lure more people in.

They say that they will go all out to help people with their problems until they are ready to join. However, if an ex-COUNT were to go up to their Marquis and ask for help with their products in an attempt to recover some capital, they will give you bull shit and refuse to help you. They will only help new 'p' but they won't help their downlines.

Just to update. From insider information this month, Count recruitments has gone terribly down, but Baron has increased a bit.

So, with less Counts, it means the strategy is to get more Barons in. Plus it's cheaper.

It's definitely the end of the road for DCHL Lampe Berger in Malaysia.

But what is interesting is, although the revenue goes up very high, the profit before tax is always very low. What this actually means?

Does this mean, the cost of goods is high, and thus, profit margin is low? No, it can't be, because MLM products prices are normally inflated.

The only answer, is that the bulk of money goes to the network. And the money will trickle down from the top guy Steven Yeam himself, to the bottom. And of course, like all other organisations, the small fishes at the bottom gets peanuts.

Definitely the bulk of the profit goes to the network itself, due to the high payout. But we should remember, Steven Yeam gets the most from this. It's as though he could get untaxable income straight out, because it's treated as expenses from DCHL point of view.

Lampe berger members, don't you get it? You guys are still working like slaves for Steven Yeam.

Hi i'm John, I joined LB for 2 months already and i decide to refund
cause
those uplines are really bugging me a lot for upgrading to count which
cost
RM30k (Now no more offer i guess, its RM36-38k if i'm not mistaken).

They told me its impossible for you to success without cloning the
RM30k
system, and i did some research and found its true that you must clone
in
order to success, but what they told me when i haven't join is totally
different, they told me RM2k is just a small amount that you can borrow
it
easily from your friend or family, they even ask you to borrow from
loan
sharks who are relatives of upline in LB so we cannot complaint them.

I never give up, i keep trying everyday to meet friends and relatives
to
talk to them about this business, but i found they all are avoiding to
meet
me and some even don't want to pick up their phones when i call them.
Being
a part of MLM will really make all your friends run away from you, you
will
start to feel lonely.

Another thing is the attitude of your uplines are totally different
compare
to before you join and after u joined. You will feel like you are
begging
them to help you to find prospect and whatever they say you must listen
or
else you're dead.

Lastly, about the refund procedure, i called to the office and ask for
the
whole procedure about refund. I'm not sure about the RM30k but RM2345
is
like this:
1. Write a letter to the company to tell them you want to resign or
fill in
an account termination form provided in the company.
2. If all the products you bought are given by the company, you will
get an
invoice (a few yellow papers) and you must photostat it and submit
together
with the termination form/letter to the counter in the company.
3. You must not bring the products while doing step 1 and step 2, they
will
contact you few days later then only you bring the items for refund.
4. Make sure the products are in good condition and not used before.
5. Around one month after you pass them the products you will recieve a
cheque with the amount of 90% from the total you paid.

If the products are bought in the company instead of given by your
upline,
then you still got some hope. Well, still looks "ok" right? At least
can
refund...but wait....

When your upline bring you to buy the products, they use their own
names to
buy it with the reason "discount". The total PV you need to become a
franchisee is 2345PV = RM2345, so if your upline buy for you, you can
get a
discount of 20% (franchisee discount), 29% (baron discount), 38% (count
discount) from RM2345. So the products can say are bought by them even
you
paid, the invoice only have their names, they transfer the PV to you
only,
and they demand cash from you cause they buy for you so they don't have
any
commisions.

Then the problem comes, there's another refund method for situation
above,
procedure as below:
1. Return the products to your upline.
2. Your upline must pay you the amount of the total products you're
refunding.
3. Your upline will take the products to the company and refund. How
they
refund i'm not sure but i guess its something similar like above.

Well, i guess your upline is not stupid enough to do that.....

Here are some advice for you guys who being asked to join LB:
1. Do not follow them to their company at Menara HLA near KLCC. If you
did,
DO NOT being impressed by them with their bullshit fake story.
2. If you joined, before anything goes worse please do not go for their
any
gatherings and get your refund as soon as possible. They say treat you
go
where also don't go, mamak/KTV/movie where also, its not enjoying at
all,
its sharing you some fake stories to make you exited and convince you
to
upgrade to RM30k.
3. Do not sign the application form when they asked you. They will say,
this
is just something to prove that you are temporary my prospect and no
one can
force you to join them. They will not let you have the chance to read
the
agreement behind the form, it wrotes behind, quite small..."No.3(i) I
agree
to pay the membership fee and other registration charges currently
enforced
by the company".
4. Never ever go to anywhere when someone who is in LB calls you, its a
trap.
5. If you insist to join, please do not let your upline do for you. The
invoice must have your name in it.
6. Do not get confuse while they telling you the marketing plan, they
will
make you confuse so that you will think what they said is all true.

How they convince you to join?
1. Someone in LB will find his upline for help if they can't convince
you
alone. He most probably will find his upline who have a nice car to
come and
find you.
2. Your friend will not say anything but agree at everything his upline
telling you. Even his upline made a mistake on the plan he also will
agree.
3. They will start talking to you normally to get close to you.
4. His upline will simply give a reason to walk away from you a while.
Then
your friend will T-Up (Talk good things) about his upline to impress
you.
5. When he finish explain the marketing plan to you, your friend will
straightaway take out an application form and probably will say "what
are
you waiting for? lets join us" something like that.

I hope everyone who wants to join LB can read my experience in LB
before
they join.

Pissed ah! My best friend, or should i say ex best friend, brought me to a LB talk against my will. Not being one to tolerate betrayal, I stormed off HLA in such fury, even the uplines didnt dare to stop me. Later, we bertumbuk outside the building. It might be isolated cases, but surely there's more cases like these. These cases happens all the time, but interesting enough, it points to Lampe Berger.

I can assure you, business is definitely going bad for Lampe Berger members. For last month at least. Contributing factors are due to chinese presses keeping up the bad PR.

It just takes a few bad news to take down your business. It's as simple as that.

Essential Oil Scam in Taiwan

The land of the fighting lawmakers, Taiwan, has recently broken a news about a disabled family (yes, this means the entire family consists of disabled members) fallen prey to the ever-growing essential oil scam in the region.

Apparently, a former Pro Baseball player known as “Little Guy” has cheated the family over NT$ 3 million, which is about Malaysian Ringgit 300,000.00. While this may not be a huge sum of money for certain people, it literally bankrupted the poor family based in Gaoshiong.

The product he sold to the family is a certain essential oil that has healing effect.

While fellow blogazine editor works hard to find someone to help us substantiate the claims of the miraculous healing factor of the horrendously expensive oil, there are people in Malaysia who seem to be happy burning money away too.

In fact, if you look closely at the screenshot shown above, you’d notice the logo of the products the family bought (we have highlighted the products in RED boxes) looks conspicuously like a famous essential oil brand that is also making waves in Malaysia, known as Lampe Berger.

If Koscot Interplanetary founder is now sitting behind bars, Steven Yeam should also be in jail.

And I believe this month sales has dropped tremendously due to the 45k for Count.

I have several comments which is (somehow) related to SYN/DCHL and pyramid schemes. Most of the arguments are old which I just consolidate from some sources. I won't elaborate much but instead encourage you guys to read up the links and do so (if you haven't seen the links before).

The first point is the concept of this so-called 'network marketing' wasn't something new, which many of SYN/DCHL's followers believe in. Please note that SYN/DCHL's operational similiarity to Koscot Interplanetary's strategy 30 years ago. Koscot mainly sells cosmetics and to have the right to 'distribute' it, you are 'encouraged' to buy $5.4k of cosmetics. Please take a look at http://www.ftc.gov/speeches/other/dvimf16.htm. Excerpts below:

One of the Commission's first cases was In re Koscot Interplanetary, Inc.,(14) which involved a company that offered the opportunity to become a "Beauty Advisor" and sell cosmetics. The company's incentive structure really did not encourage retail sales. Instead, it encouraged people to pay $2000 for the title of "Supervisor" and purchase $5400 in Koscot cosmetics, and then to earn bonuses by recruiting others to make the same investments.(15) The Commission found that Koscot operated an illegal "entrepreneurial chain" and articulated a definition of illegal pyramiding that our agency and the federal courts continue to rely on.(16) The Commission found that pyramid schemes force participants to pay money in return for two things. First is "the right to sell a product", second is "the right to receive, in return for recruiting other participants into the program, rewards which are unrelated to sale of the product to ultimate users. (emphasis added)"(17) The Commission explained that paying bonuses for recruiting:

. . . will encourage both a company and its distributors to pursue that side of the business, to the neglect or exclusion of retail selling. The short-term result may be high recruiting profits for the company and select distributors, but the ultimate outcome will be neglect of market development, earnings misrepresentations, and insufficient sales for the insupportably large number of distributors whose recruitment the system encourages."(18)

Compared to SYN/DCHL, Koscot's structure is more complex and consists of multiple companies, including sister company 'Dare To Be Great' which charges for trainings. The stable of companies are brought down and its founder, Glenn Turner, was eventually jailed.

Here, we can see that the weakness stem from fundamental of the system instead of 'the unethical behaviour of the distributors'. Pyramid scheme, which I would explain as a system which is mathematically flawed and unsustainable, instead of the grey areas claimed by sites like http://cactaur.blogspot.com/2006/01/afterthoughts-on-mlm.html

The second point that many people may not know is, a large scale pyramid scheme may be hazardous for even a big entity like a country, as shown here: http://www.worldbank.org/html/prddr/trans/so97/albania2.htm. The article discusses failure of action by the authorities causing pyramid scheme funds balloons to 50% of Algeria's GDP before crashing the economy.

I have been receiving quite some email from people who encourages the effort on Anti Lampe Berger, and this one is from George Wong.

It shows that awareness is building up against this Lampe Berger business and also Steven Yeam Network.

To put things into perspective, I think the people are selling LB as an
idea to make money rather than the products. The products value come
second to their so called "marketing plan" or "business plan". In fact,
the products are no more than just perfume and fragrance for the room.
Does they really know how ionisation work? I never see anyone question
about their products but the concerns revolved around how much money
can
they pocket.

Does they know what organic extracted oil cannot burn in low
temperature? Does the know reason why that the fragrance or essence of
whatever flower or plant is mixed with oil because oil can capture the
fragrance? For the "essential oil" to be able to burn at room
temperature with a lighted match, I'd say it has very high alchohol or
etanol mixture. The ceramic tip is used in the "lamp" design because it
has a very high heat capacity that the heat from burning the "oil"
would
allow whatever remaining to evaporate easier. Why not ask these LB
people to put a lighted match into the full bottle of essential oil.
Ask
them what would happen the next they in the hospital.

Essential oil, the real oil extract is very expensive. For the price LB
is charging, whoever buying should be getting real quality oil with
really low filler content. However, LB mixture comes with low essential
oil and the rest are Chivas Regal.

That's is why they are when sell LB, the products comes second because
if there are not much to say about the products, really. Conversation
with these occultist will eventually ends with "when are you joining?",
"Do you want to achieve financial freedom?".

Hey, let's be real. When I when for any job interview, my future boss
would not ask me to pay anything in order to make money. And it is not
even a franchise. Does they even know what is a franchise? MacDonalds
is
a franchise, so is KCF and many other business.

LB is merely focusing on recruiting. What is this? A franchise in
recruiting. When you join, you pay a recruitment fees or simply called
"joining fee". In exchange, you get their products which is very hard
to
sell. Then they will proceed to tell you ways to break even or get back
the money you spend on the "joining fee". Get other people to join, get
the commission and repeat the same story to them and cross your finger
they will be able to recruit other people to break even their "joining
fee". In the meanwhile, these occultist will make it more entising by
telling you who-and-who is making so-much-and-so-much, can afford a lot
more whatnots than before and all other stories. But how much person
can
be earn as much as he does? The fact that that person is already at the
top of the pyramid, and is getting a 50% commission from everybody, and
how much commission are the "downliners" getting?

Expand your pyramid's base. But you are still attached to that
from-rags-to-riches-person-who-is-earning-so-much-and-so-much. Can you
ever, think again, ever earn as much as him?

The answer is NO. He is already on top of you. Unless he decided to
give-up his compensation, quit or die.

Does they ever heard of saturation point? Or the lately, the tipping
point?

How deep can the pyramid go? It has to stop somewhere or there won't be
a pyramid shape at all. A pyramid without a shape is what Amway, Cosway
and such other like to call, Multi-level-marketing. No pyramid, simple
and easy.

Yeah, right.

The reason that these companies are still around because human greed
are endless. Who are not easily sway with the promise of rich and
properity? Money is the root of all even, let's not forget that.

And on top of that, they are smart when it comes to
approaching/recruiting "underline". Walk into any LB meeting, Amway,
Cosway, Tupperware. What do you see?

Similarity in the attendees.

Tupperware, you get mid aged ladies and food. Cosway and Amway, hmm..
you know who-lah. LB, young people in suit.

Talk to them, you will realised that most of these recruits have;

1. Dead End job.
2. Aim to earn lots of money.

Yeah, I wanted to earn lots of money too. Why did I bother to slave for
my SPM, my university and now, my work? Why?

If LB can promise so much of financial freedom, why bother to study at
all. Quit school now and start selling, I tell you.

But, if you quit school, you won't be able to have RM2400 or thereabout
for the "joining fee". You won't have that RM30k for joining fee. If
you
won't be able to pay up, how can one be rich? How can one start own
franchise business? That's a conumdrum.

Know what, they have all the solutions. Borrow from your mother. Borrow
from your relative, don't think twice of getting the cash advance from
credit card. Don't bother in any accessement. There's only one way,
just
do it. Did they even know what is the fallout rate? What is the failing
rate?

I know what they can tell, they will tell you that you are stupid not
to listen to them. That you are not open-minded enough. Hey, when I
sign-up for my engineering major, my management majored friends never
call me stupid for not joining them. Why is there a need to give a low
blow, so lowly that these occultist has to resolve to personal attacks
when they are recruiting?

But you tell me, why is it not stupid that I choose not to borrow from
my relative, my mom, my dad or my friends the money that I need for my
"joining fee"?

Why is that you tell me everyone can succeed in this business and yet
you can't extend money to me so I can join? Why is that you tell me
that
you believe I can success in this business but none of you can borrow
me
money? I thought you trust me, and the great "marketing plan" will work
out for me and yet why when it comes to loan me money to start you
never
say anything at all. Why do you tell me the products is so great, but
you can't assign some to me on consigment basis as I will pay you back
when I made a sale? Why why why?

Oh, I forget. That's not a part of your great "marketing plan". If loan
is extended to me while I recruite my underline the same way whilst
extending loan. There won't be any commission for anybody at the end of
the day. Oh, I forgot, is the policy that I can't even get the product
on consigment because it is not easy to sell and if there is any sale,
it will be a very long period before I can pay. And that means,
somebody
won't be getting their commission timely.

Well, if you must compare. Saying this is a franchise, I think if I
have MacDonalds franchise, banks are more than willing to extend me
loans. MacDonalds franchise owner would give me credit period as well.
Franchise owner will provide me with the necessary skill set for my me
and my future employer as well like managing people, flipping the
burgers, operate the timers on the deep frying machine, operate the
tilt. If MacDonalds does work for me, I can also find another job, say
in Burger King. If I can flip burgers well, I can operate the tilt
well,
maybe I will get a promotion to manager. If I quit as a manager I can
join any companies as a manager.

If I quit LB, I will loose my RM2400 something or the precious life
saving of my friends/aunt/uncle/father/mother of RM30k. If I quit, I
can't tell my future my employer that I am a Baron, or a Count, or
Marquis. I think if I do, I will just make them laugh. Very hard.

That bring to another question. Does anyone know anyone who is a
Baron/Count/Marquis quit/stop and because another company
Baron/Count/Marquis? Count Dracula does not..er..count(sorry the pun)?

What do you gain at the end of the day? How to recruit people by
telling them sweet promises. How far do you think LB would go before
reaching the stage where Amway or Cosway is today?

Well, at the end of the day. It is just money and greed is it? No?

'Cash scam' worry for dad 19 june 2006

Yesterday was Father's Day but there was no joy for Ho Ka Choon.

In fact, the 45-year-old kereta sapu(unlicensed taxi) driver from Johor Baru has been losing sleep ever since his
undergraduate son started dabbling in get-rich-quick direct selling some time ago.

What worries Ho most is the dubious nature of the direct selling scheme and that his son has been lying to him
and borrowing money from friends and relatives to raise RM30,000 needed to purchase
certain products that enable him to recruit more members and get commission from the scheme.

Ho told China Press his 21-year-old son, a second-year student of Universiti Malaysia Sabah,
was an honest and filial son until he was coerced into paying RM2,000 to join the scheme.

Now he is a sweet-talking salesman only dreaming of making it big, he said.

"My son told me that if he recruits five members, he can get 10% of the new recruits'
joining fee as commission, and if he then pays up RM30,000 (for products), he
will become a senior executive and enjoy up to 50% in commission," said Ho.

"My son wanted to borrow RM10,000 from me to advance his 'career' but I have
a feeling it (the direct selling) is a trap."

He said the scheme sounded too good to be true and believed it could be a scam.

Ho said after he rejected his son's requests for RM10,000 and the title of family land
to borrow money from a bank, his son turned to relatives and friends for help.

Apart from warning relatives and friends againts lending his son money, Ho
urged the government to enact a law to bar university students from taking up direct-selling.

I've been to LB's office in HLA and also few events they organise.
First impression, omg all these ppl are so young! and dress like HK gangster!

And whatever career u r in, then will drag someone from ur career to tell u they they hav join LB and making $$$$$.. lots of it.
Also, i never felt anything comming truth fully from the bottom of their heart. When ppl talk with their heart, u can know it bcos u can feel it.
These bunch of SYN are always treating u like their bro n sis even though first time meet them. But i always wonder.. if all these dukes n marquiese are making so much money, why the heck they never ever belanja me eat? Bring me to mamak also need to pay AA style? Hell if u r in business, you know when u bring a client out u need to treat them .. at very least a good proper meal!

After they explain the plan to me, i jz smile n they say i should join immediately. I say i hav no money, they begin to say 30k start own business where to find..(but i started mine with less than RM500 )
I tell them truthfully even 2.5 k i also vy hard to come up with.
Then they will ask u borrow from father mother grandmother this fren that fren and also from credit card! I say no no no money.. so they let me go home.. but b4 that they show me more ppl who join LB, this CEO with few companies come fulltime LB, that person drives ferarri come full time LB...

I was actually thinking 'quite good ya the plan' but when i wanted to leave that time, they ask me never to reveal what they told me n i go wtf? Hey must b something illegal if cannot talk open in public! must hav something bad to hide! Walao like join gangster! ( At least real gangster treat u like their brother from the bottom of their heart.. i hav few gangser frens kekeke)

Then after that they invite me to more of their events which i join.. but when they try to push me again to join, i tell them right smack in their face " U guys r selling money making scheme... not selling any products valueble.. Some of ur lamps cost over 10k but it does not have 2nd hand value at all!. At least Amway got few good products, Diamond has good filter... I will never allowed myself to sell something i don't believe!"

Later on the fren that brought me there quits LB after few months... and they stop bugging me kekeke

1) NDO monthly will cost you RM 100
2) RM 50 daily - minimum for expenses on food and drinks..
3) RM 30+ daily for transportation well if you drive..
4) RM 7-10 per training for the first two months
You go back late everyday, sleep late cause got discussion
and you need to eat and drink summore leh..

RM 100 + (RM 50 x 30) + (RM 30 x 30) + (RM 7 x 10)
RM 100 + RM 1500 + RM 900 + RM 70
= RM 2570

That amount equals to your franchisee boy!!
Okay minus transportation fee abit, take monorail and LRT (-300)
Still more than 2000..!! But you don't drive how to prospect?
This process goes on and on, and you don't have waterfish under you HOW?
I am just merely talking about overheads... OVERHEADS!! that if you know..
But of course this is not monthly.. maybe next mosnth less RM 500 or so.

As far as the profit margin is concern, I know how much is a mamak is earning from
a general joe public from a teh tarik, even HP cost, I know it.. These are needs that people
would go and source for it, and it doesn't need people to go one by one to prospect..

PRODUCTS
Yes, you say about the products is very good.. Do you see a demand of the product
in the market here except by the own distributors themselves like your goodself..?
Do you have a fix customer that will buy a bottle of oil that cost RM400 or
the fix customer is ONLY the distributors themselves because they want to have
some PV in their account and they HAVE TO use the products..

Then u complain, today do u know how much a mamak make profit from u for a teh tarik? do u know how much HP earn for selling u a laptop?u don't know that's y u don't complain...

MLM is take the product directly from manafacturer, thru the distributor then to consumer. But convention busines is from manacfacturer to sole distributor, then to a wholeseller, state wholeseller, then distributor, retailer then only to consumer... Actuaclly both the mark up margin not much different but MLM even lower, in convention way, how r they promote a product to market since it's new? u have to put in damn a lot of money to actor actress, then advertisement, TV commercial, function, sponsoring and so on..then who will cover the costs?? That's y consumer need to pay more lor, and they never let u know the cost of the product. some more u have to face the compeition among the rest even u sell the same product. But in MLM all the profit straight away share among the distributor, u can use the product and make the money too, what's wrong with MLM, somemore we are helping each other in SYN, we don't care which team u r in, as long as u r in SYN then we family?? And MLM is mouth to mouth biz, nomally thru ur friends or relatives around u, human u will trust them more than advertisement, tat's how MLM and network spred, much more faster. If u have a business today, what type of the customers that u want to have?

For me, i wants to have fix customer that they only buy it from u, foreveruntil i shut down my business. Is it sounds perfect? But in convntion business will u get this ype of customers? will u use darlie until u die? eat kfc every day? use nokia forever?? no right?that's the nature of consumer which they are not loyal, ppl wanted to try new thing. That's y MLM exist, for sure the member in the Netwok will become the fix user for the product, because they know they can money while they r using the product. if today u have 2000 ppl under ur network, each of them contribute RM20 for u monthly, u already can make RM40 k per month k, some more the product is good for us... Again, win win situation.

Today all the giant company in the world they all eying to MLM, for example, Amway is so huge and got so many member around the world, that's y so many giant company wants to partnership with Amway because they know their product wil be sell like crazy in huge volume to whole world automatically becauseof the existing member, that's the power of MLM and network, the member will consume it, the distributor will sell it. Networkng it's the most valuable asset in 21 century k. It's not wrong to recruit member because we r buiding the network, we r having others time to generate income for us, thats what all the big bosses doing today in whole world, every one in this world only have 24hours, here is the fairest gft from God to human, but why there are some ppl can be so successful, own so many biz at the same time, but some of them always get stucked in their job or biz, busy like hell but only earn little? That's y the big bosses know to use others ppl time and effort to work for them, but the employee or self employer have to fully depend to their own effort to survive. I prefer to have 100 ppl to work for me and each of them just contribue 1% of their effort rather than i have to spend all my effort 100% to get the same returns..That's what MLM do, share out the time and effort and creating the win win situation. Everything have to start from begining, don't complain abt the tough experience at initial stage, there is no free lunch in this world k. but if u r in the network u wil happy because u can share a part of it,but if u r outside the network like uself now, u won't feel anything and complaining because u r paying money to consume product, and u already used to work alone.... and criticising the biz now.

Again, u don't understand what is LB for, it's not a fragrance,the main purpose is to purify the air... The aromatherapy is additional effect.. U can get all the lab report from DCHL if u doubt with the all the fuctions, the product is so fantastic k.. We are focuing to build network because we know the potential of the product based on Europe market, just not much ppl can see the value at this point of time. In fact, ppl start to realize the importance of clean air nowsaday.. That's y e creating the pioneer image, just like heath food that Amway will always the lader in market, water filter will be Diamond and so on.

U doubt the exploid of the air market is ok, this is business,u need to have the vision toward future market but not follow the market, like u think hand phone shop still can bring u high profit if u open it today, or u open it 10 yrs ago?? u need to create it and educate the maket. If today u goes to Africa, let's say all the ppl there are bare footers and the population is 20mil, ur the respresentative for a shoe company, when u do the market research over there, what will u say? r u going to tell ur company not to go Africa because no one will buy shoe, or u will say it's good oppoturnity to set up a factory there because the market is still huge because u know the europe and Asia ppl they all wearng shoe, just diferent brand of shoe only. We believe it because the air will getting worst and worst in future, we can't avoid it, some day it's sure will happen that every house will put something air purifier in house, nt may be different product like water purifier today, u still can drink the pipe water and won't die, but y u buy it?? It's the life style that ppl casing for, the needs and ppl realize the importane of it. that's all i can say... that's y i think ur brother should have the same ision too, then only he wants to join. We r looking for future,long term and fixed income, but not pyramid, fast money or what. It's a long run bi and u need to put in the effort and rsponsible to the ewly join partner, if it's a illegal scheme, i won't join at all or use the product,some more DCHL have spa biz, Estabell andso on. Of course, I agree with you LB members earns a lot (uplines), but the problem is, their earnings does not come from sales outside the network. It's from the huge uploading 30k sales.

Any returns which are huge, also comes with the same huge risks. Let's not talk about ethics for a second. You get the guys keep coming in paying 30k with whatever means. But sooner or later, the network is saturated. The initial growth stops to a halt. So what happens next? Just like the stock bubble, most will get burned. The business won't go on, because nobody wants to buy into it anymore. Ok, you argue that there's existing market (the network) who will buy the products. But if they are doing this full time, and they have to buy their own products from LB, from where does his income comes from? (this layer is the lowest layer).

You can see it's a big loss for the lowest level of downline (those without anyone under them). They do this fulltime, nobody joins, and you expect them to buy LB products?

And not to mention Lampe Berger products, and other brands marketed by DCHL are not cheap.

1) Again, what do you mean by pramid MLM? As i said, every single company in this world, government and even your family is all in pyramid structure, and it's proven the strongest and the most stable structure in this world. So, what's wrong with Pyramid? Or you prefer to work in a company with 1000 managers but only 1 staff?

2) Don't tell me that you are so clear or study about LB, otherwise u won't keep saying it has loophole or bla bla bla. I'm not sure whether you anti MLM or only anti LB. Do u think Amway is one of the MLM who con pp too? It's exactly the same with others MLM, got product selling, just like the others because initially when LB started 8 yrs ago, it was doing in direct selling way that time, just we found out it is very difficult to sell since we are aiming on air market, that's why not many ppl will accept it since it's a very new market and product in Asia, some more it can be categorized in luxury product range. but it's already more than hundred years of history in France, which today still one of the leader brand in Europe among the rest, but ppl doing in retail over there, that means ppl will walk in and buy for their own use, if the product is no quality, do you think it will last in market for more than 100 yrs? For sure the market will going to explode, but not now, few more years later ppl will accept the product and willing to buy then only direct selling coming.

3) If today ppl ask ur brother to join LB and ask him to go and sell 1 by 1, how much can ur brother make from it? Don't say earn 10% from it, if let me earn 50% of it i also won't do it because it's too difficult and suffering, u need to work really hard and really like a salesman, all your friend will get away from you since you are asking your friend buy things from you. And do you think your brother can work very hard to ask ppl buy, then slowly move to higher level by accumulating points? That's why all these while so many ppl fail in MLM because ppl won't stay long, they are not persistent enough, only few ppl can go through the journey to be one of the top in your so called "pyramid". Do u think that your brother can do it through the conventional way?? For sure if someone ask me to do it I definitely won't, because to tough, take too long to see whether can success or not, we still can easily make few k or even 10k per month outside, what for to do direct selling??? Some more you also know in MLM if u want earn more, you need to get more ppl work under you right, so instead of I need to go and look for 100 ppl in order to get 5 to work for me, the rest all inactive, i prefer straight away to look in LB at least i know these 5 are serious with the biz, not play play or entertaining u. If 5 years later the market already accept the product, then we already in the top of the network and no need to do selling anymore, for sure that time sure ot new member to join in and do direct selling, or you prefer brother only to join that time?

4)I'm so sorry with ur brother case, i'm not sure what's is the real story behind, but at least i know LB is never has a risk except the DCHL bankrup or shut down, because u can take how long you want to look for 5 partners. The compay never overpaid to their distributor, 69% goes to distributors and 31% goes to office and it is the highest pay out in market. They do it because wants the distributor to make money, unlike others MLM they only willing to pay out 30%-50% to distributors, that's why so many ppl can't manke money. Like myself, i also put in 30k but i never regret or any, because i seriously know it it's worth to do, which biz in market can allow u to do so? 30k, get 5 project or customers can get back your capital, and you can keep generate the income from this 5??? And no compulsory maintanence or overhead??? if you keep analyze LB thru your employee mindset, for sure u will anti it, not 30k, even 3k you also will reject, but as a businessman who really wanted to make money thru a biz, it's very fantastic.

5) I know you all worrying about your brother, but why don't you all suppot him rather than advise him or keep telling the negative info to him? If today your bro open a restaurant, would u keep going repeat the negative info to him, or will ask him to think positively and work hard? Before I join, i really study a lot about LB because i had heard too much about MLM sice i was young, but i never join any because not my cup of tea. If today i tell u that with RM2500 you can make more than 100k per month and only takes 2 yrs, will you believe it? It sound more attractive right? low invest high return but seriously do you think that is it going to happen? If we said so then we have no different with other MLM in the market, ask you join then whether you do or not we don't care because too many ppl have to take care. You have to bare in mind that you need to at least takes few years time to make your first 20k in a month.

6)The plan in LB is flexible, up to you to join in any position that you feel you can afford and you willing to work hard, treat it as serious biz. That is the flexibility we have in LB, if you feel RM150 as a member is a serious biz for u, we are welcome too.. We wants to eliminate those unserious ppl from joining LB. SYN objective is to increase the percentage of succesful rate in MLM. No forcing, if you want to do then come, if you think you cannot then forget about it, still friends. Since we all know that network is the one bring profit in MLM, and you need to have serious partners under you, so instead of spent 80% selling, 20% building, we prefer 100% building. That's all, let the ppl who join in after few years to do direct selling. Like what diamond water filter doing now, it is MLM in 15 years ago but no one realized because they are focusing on building also, and that time ppl can't afford Diamond and think that they don't need it, but today so many ppl buying Diamond water filter and many ppl making money from selling too, but all the seller actually are under those who are only focusing on building network 1yrs ago, and today they don't need o work hard to sell but they even make more money than those who are selling now.

7)What social menace u talk about? If today your friend ask you to join partnership to open a restaurant with RM100k each, will you feel the same too? That's why please see LB through business mindset and from business angele, not ordinary MLM, we are applying MLM method into a business, can your friend force you to join him that must open the restaurant, or let you study first and only invest if you think it's profitable, you are too focusing on the 30k but forgot to see the bigger cake behind the business. There are too many ppl makes more than 10k monthly within a year in LB. I you want to complain, then forever got thing to complain, then you only stop yourself from moving forward. I think your best suggestion to your bro after ask him to quit from LB is go and get a better job right, then your bro will only earn for living for the rest of his life k, or else what can you offer to your bro? We treat every partner seriously, must make sure they can earn in LB. If the downlines don't make money, u think upline can survive since we only looks for 5 partner? do u think SYN can be so big and strong until you all aware of it and keep shooting about it? Drop Study, and Do LB?

If you are a student and want to do this, just don't waste your time and money. Here is an email I got from a lecturer in a local private college.

30k is enough to cover most of your study cost, and with a degree or diploma, you could get a solid job in the industry.

MLM DCHL Lampe Berger is not a wise choice.

Actually one of my students, she even quit here degree programme to pump 30k into this scheme and now she is suffering. She borrowed the money from here and there and now she is in limbo and have to work dont know how many jobs to pay off the loan. Got nothing from LB.and loss her opportunity to study and get a solid degree.

I am sure there are many more like her. But why in the past any MLM even having a small hint of being a pyramid was shut down promptly but why is this one doing so well? The worst thing is that they target the young people who are greedy and ignorant of whats what.

I have been receiving quite a few emails from DCHL Lampe Berger members of the Steven Yeam group. Obviously, they are unhappy with this anti site. How could possibly a blog do them harm? They should be busy prospecting. Making calls and meetups, not writing some email to me.

We will do our part to educate the public. They will do theirs. What we are basically doing is bridging the gap of information asymetry. It means, telling others more info on this business. Pls study first before u try to make any hoo haa k. Or the easiest way is why don't you straight away go to the Head Office of RZ Corporation to find out urself before u start to start the "revolution"? Outside there got so many ppl fail in MLM, but why u never go and complain, while DCHL is one of the most successful MLM company and achieve much more higher percentage of successful rate to help their distributor to sucess in MLM in Asia compare to others especially in Malaysia, but u still wants to make noise.

I seriously don't understand what is ur intention to do all these, just ask urself can you give the ordinary ppl like me any suggestion of which industry, profession or even business that can help a person to success within few years time and you urself will going to guide them personally on how to do it until they success, or after u "successfully" stop a person from joining LB, what the better oppoturnity will u offer to him/her? Have u think that b4? because u may help a person from being hurted, destroy or poorer as what u claim in ur blog? But u may cause a person loosing a oppoturnity to success too. Regarding those pyramid direct sales / MLM plans, Mr. Su says that many peoples have tried to convince him many times to join them, but Mr. Su has refused to do so. Mr. Su is currently a year-3 university student. He is working as a trainee in one company located at Skudai. He still left 1 more year to graduate.

Mr. Su commented that he realizes that Direct Selling / MLM agents are focusing on undergraduate and just graduated university student. This group of direct selling agents mostly appears at one restaurant in Taman Nusa Bestari, Skudai and their HQ is inside an office complex at Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru.

Mr. Su disclosed that there are many undergraduate students from Mr. Su’s university have joined the pyramid direct selling / MLM plans.

Regarding the technique used by those agents, he pointed out that these agents will come together with their Uplines, by driving a luxury car, wearing branded clothes to approach those who are new in society. Agents will convince those people by using themselves as examples on how they get rich after joining the direct selling plans.

RM 2345 required as membership fees

Mr. Su indicated, to join this pyramid direct selling / MLM plans, you need to pay RM2345 membership fees. After that, you will become a level-1 agent. You will get a set of fragrance and perfumes products.

“If a level-1 agent wants to upgrade himself to level-2, he needs to pay another RM30000+ . If he wants to upgrade to level-3, need to pay around RM50000.” Mr. Su added.

He advised to those who are new in society not to get convinced easily, because stories and examples on getting rich after joining direct selling / MLM can be created and faked easily.

It seems like just like a big sale is going on, you see everyone rushing to get the best bargain. In this case, the bargain is to get Count level at 30k. I really wonder, are malaysians too thinly educated to fall for all the mother of scams? Are we are really that stupid and greedy?

The sad fact, most of us are.

So, we got many rushing for the last 30k promotion...thinking they will get rich. But I think these are the last suckers in the food chain. How on earth are they going to get another downline to put 45k?

I chatted with a friend on this issue. He said, after this, probably Lampe Berger Malaysia will close down, with tons of our Malaysian cash. Why? you got to hit and run. Make as much money as you can from all the gullible people out there...before you close the shop.

And looking from the perspective of recruitment, it won't be easy income for all the uplines up there. Investing in Count will be 45k...I predict a fall in Count recruitment will happen next month.

So, we will see, will RZ corporation and Steven Yeam Network survive after this? Yes, they might be jumping with joy (the uplines) with the huge recruits last month. But they won't be after a few months.

Recently, there's a post by a member of the Lowyat forum, who took a picture of his house, full with Lampe Berger unsold stock. But this guy is not into LB, his housemates are.

Can't sell your stock is really a headache, because you can't get back what you invested.

But still believing in this dreams of getting rich and driving a nice car, that is even sadder.

This scenario is basically front loading, where DCHL pushes a huge pile of stock to the brainwashed LB member, who thinks he can make it. It happens in other MLMs too.

Now, if the MLM companies has been less greedy, they would have just given commission on sold stock only. So, the distributor could return back the unsold stock, and he does not lose his shirt.

But why DCHL wouldn't want to practise this?

Just because they make more profit pushing a high quantity of stocks. And for the network itself, it's not that attractive. You don't have people joining in as Counts, so you don't earn that much too.

So, LB members who invested Count, it's very obvious you have been cheated big time. My advise, quit this business, get your refunds, and get a real job.

So, it's no wonder, my brother who joined, blurted out he wanted to get a Skyline GTR, and there's many other LBs who got themselves BMW.

But the pinacle of success is always a ferrari. So, we got DCHL lampe berger dangling a Ferrari model ( i think it's the 360 Modena) at their Gala Dinner 2005.

But what's the point of showing this impossible dream? The only guy who's going to drive Ferrari is not the downlines, it's the arch dukes, and dukes. It's the endless (this will stop someday) chain of recruitment that gives money to those up there, to afford luxuries.

Just call me Lawrence. I was an ex member of LB and I knew the inside out of the filthiness of the "business". After the "failure", I can learn a lot about MLM and the cunningness of the money minded people.

All I can say is those people in LB, they know what they're doing. They just WON'T admit their insidious "marketing plan". They like to digress from points and make excellent anecdotal success stories without considering the long term effect of LB Marketing Plan! It's useless to talk to them.

I've worked out calculation of the percentage of how many of those who would make money and those who won't and the figure is very surprising. Only 4% will make money and 96% of those will lose money!

When Steven Yeam made a speech in an NDO that he could make another millionaire like him; he just made a BS statement. Let's say those who make money (4%) are millionaires (which are absolutely not, but for the purpose of rough calculation we make it simple), that means Malaysia must have 25 million people and all of them do MLM. This is utter absurdity.

If you want to know how to derive such percentage, just ask me. It's a bit difficult to explain from here as I need to draw the plan out. It's just a simple calculation. You just need to know LB marketing plan and think a bit further.

So my point is just let them what they do; while you can still warn the "I don't know anything" minded youngsters. Save your breath. The truth will soon reveal itself. Life has its own destiny that's been revealed in The Book of Revelation. The only way for eternal life is through God. They will face their own judgment. I am praying for them.

Then I will tell this one fact, just pass it on to your brother. Even as a Franchisee, getting 3 generation downlines (5x5x5 = 125 men), he will get 30k! A Count with 3 generation downlines will get 60k; hence with your "investment", your profit will be also 30k! The ONLY main difference is that as a Franchisee, to get the second generation bonus, he will have 2 direct downlines (of the first generation) and to get the third generation bonus, he will have, well, 3 direct downlines (of the first generation). With the 2 positions, same profit, and considering the fact of risks, which one you will take? Of course everyone will want to put 2k and get 30k back. The fact that no one in LB tell him such fact is because they want him to invest in a Count to promote them faster. Remind himself he's in the middle of money-minded people.

One more point: He is motivated that those who quit, will fail and those who don't will not. What I can tell you is they have flowery vocabularies stored in them with their so-called "motivational speech". The motivational words are true in general sense, but not in the MLM concept. Just think about it. And NONE of the meetings actually mentions of the fact that 96% those in LB "business" will LOSE money. This is mathematical fact and unless you can prove me wrong, the figure is right! I've calculated down to 10 generations (which is too little). The more generations you calculate, the closer the number is to 96%!

P.S. Those LB and high-ranked know what things they're doing. They just wont care. They promise you great stuff and leave those "below" suffer just for their own wealth. In China, MLM is banned. Ask himself why, but not in Malaysia? Myself, suffering a great deal of money, decided to quit and bear the consequence myself. I feel better to live and work hard, than have to cheat people out of their own pocket.

No I didn't have a downline after 5 months. This wasn't the reason I quit. It's because LB cheats people. If you find almost all of the lamps (especially Signature Lamp) online, the price is THREE times lower than those in LB. Why? Simply because it's an MLM and they wanna get money.

Both these are offences under subsection 25(1) of the Banking and Financial Institution

Chinese authorities have uncovered more than 1 billian yuan (RM 469 million) of illegal pyramid sales in the last 12 months, it was revealed yesterday.

Figures disclosed by the Ministry of Public Security showed that 516 cases have been uncovered involving 1,147 direct selling organisations. A total of 3,408 suspects were arrested.

Gao Feng, deputy director of the Economic Crime Investigation Bureau of the ministry, said that pyrammid selling had become "a serious economic crime in China."

He added that ther had been a resurgence of the illegal activity despite the lifting of the ban on direct sales last December.

"The increase in online pyramid selling has made our task more difficult. Some criminals even use internet based servers overseas," he said.

He warned that special attention would be paid to pyramid selling on university campuses,

Direct selling is the marketing of products to consumers face-to-face, away from fixed retail locations. It is permitted in some countries with certain legal restrictions to guarantee consumer interests.

China issued a blanket ban on all varieties of direct and pyramid seling in 1998 due to widespread pyramid schemes. During the ban, door-to-door sellers were restricted to selling in retail stores.

However, the State Council issued a regulation late last year to distinguish direct selling from pyramid selling, which opened the door to legitimate direct selling companies.

The only company to have acquired a license was Avon China in February.

A pyramid sales organisation requires every member to fork out a non-refundable registration fee, and then they have to coax other people to join the multi-level network and earn commission based on the number of new members they entice.

The biggest case was based in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which involved more than 380,000 people from 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. - China Daily/Asia News Network

Middle class mentality

Generally, when you go to a book store, and see books on "retire early", "financial freedom", it's good to pick up and read. It will tell you lots on investment vehicles, unit trust and lots more.

Seems like the middle class people just like these stuff, and keep on dreaming on financial freedom.

There's nothing wrong wanting it.

However, how many have gone through the business section in The Star, where the real entrepreneurs are. How many have read their true stories of grit when starting up their business, and their hardship.

I have read an article on this entrepreneur guy whom I can't recall his name, and he said "There's no retirement for me". Now isn't it weird? While the majority of the middle class people wants to retire early, he does not. And even weirder, he wants to keep on working way past his retirement age.

And if you know IKEA founder, who is known for being frugal (shame on LB members showing off their wealth), who said "There's no time for dying, there's still much to do". And he's 80 years old. Now, the reason he's still driving a 15 years old volvo, is because of company's policy, and he wants to keep it that way.

These are the real rich people, in my opinion because they know hard work and good vision is needed to execute all this, while knowingly how to balance the risks involved. And more important, they really genuinely like what they do.

The problem with middle class mentality is wanting comfort, but wants to play it safe. Headlines like "Easy income in one month", "Retire early and get a vacation" seems to easily hook them up.

This is why, when you look into the category of people joining these schemes, it's the middle class which forms the majority.

And if you look into all these network marketing monthly magazines, they will feature either a couple or a person, dressed to fit kings and queens. It seems life for them is good and lavish. But this may be far from the truth. Dress can be deceiving. Cars can be deceiving.

What is important is how they think. Rich people don't need to go out telling everyone he's rich.

Ever wonder what is Count Generation Bonus, Marquis Generation Bonus and Duke Generation Bonus? Just equate Generation with Recruitment. Then you'll have a better idea.

If you look into the marketing plan, this is how the payout is:

It always puzzled me why LB members who failed, keep on in vain trying to succeed in this business. Perhaps it's because the fake wealth and luxuries shown by the members themselves. The failure rate is more than 99%. Which means less than 1% can get rich.

This story shows that you not only lost your money in this business, but also your social relationship, your time, and your loved ones.

Perhaps you are young, and think it's no harm trying. But it can turn out to be your worst choice. Fulfilling all your dreams is the biggest lie DCHL Lampe Berger is selling you. All those dreams just turned out to be lost hopes.

Dear Steven & LB Help,

After seeing all your blogs and Brand Malaysia blog, I think it is something that we should bring to the attention of the weaker mind of what this LB is all about. I attach below a story of LB which surrounds my friends and I since the LB things began spreading. I would appreciate if you keep my name anonymous.

The story goes like this...

A friend of mine,AK joined Lampe Berger after some approach from another friend of ours. AK borrowed some money (heard it's a 4 figure amount) from his girlfriend to invest in LB, even with his study loan unpaid. It's been almost 2 years since he joined. All our friends that I come across had been approached by him to join LB and seen him like a repellant.

Another friend, KV who was persuaded by him to joined, regretted. He told me that he felt he was conned by his best friend (AK) to fork out money using his mum's hard earn RM2,345. Since then, KV got less than half of his money back, quitted LB, hated and doesn't talk to AK since.

Recently, AK's girlfriend, CS of 5 years who lives together with him suddenly decided to leave KL and go work in Singapore, not breaking up with him but just to work there for more pay. We (AK's friends) were puzzled. Hence we approached her on her decision.

It was a sad story. She explained to us that since AK stopped his permanent job and joined LB full-time since 2 years ago, she is the only person that is the primary breadwinner. She has to pay for the rent of the apartment and most expenses at home. All AK could earn is from the freelance job that he do once or twice in a month.

CS who earns RM3,000 a month wasn't able to save any money from this salary considering that she still have a car installment to pay every month. Hence, 6 months ago she started looking for other company that would be able to offer her more somewhere in KL. She found a better offer. Best of all, she request and got the offer for AK to become a Junior Photographer, a higher ranking and higher pay in the same company. AK rejected the offer even without thinking.

CS was disappointed. Hence she job hunt for work in Singapore and got other offers. We also heard from CS that the money she borrow AK to invest in LB was her savings for their future home. She doesn't mind if AK would want to pursue his dream to get rich through LB. But AK wouldn't even want to at least contribute to their small living by accepting a permanent job that knock on his door.

When AK as CS on her reason to work in Singapore, CS would just say, "Can you afford a life right now?" It's not that CS is a big spender or anything. She's the most understanding and thrifty girl I've met. She never expected AK to return the money he borrowed or give her a good life, but just a normal life that they used to have even when he have to work 18 hours a day, with enough money to eat, watch movie and occasionally buy some stuff.

When we asked AK how does he feel since CS has to go, his reply was, "I'm going to put all my time in LB so that I can start to earn 4 figures and pick her back from Singapore next year".

Little does he know, CS decision to leave was a hard one for her because it's also the first step of their breaking up process as she had told us...

A lesson to all out there who is interested to join LB. Yes, there are people who gain and got wealthy because of it, but how many are there who got rich compare to those who joined and never got rich? Yes, they can drive a BMer, but do you think they still can pay for the installment 3 or 5 years down the road by using the money they earn in LB? If you come from a rich family, it is alright to get burnt with RM30k. But if you are not from a rich family, don't ever think of joining LB thinking that it is a "Get Rich Quick" scheme. Nothing comes easy in the world. Nothing comes free. You will end up with even more debt in the end.

If you think that by spending RM30k to join LB with your own hard earn money and lose it, then it's your own problem. But if you have to borrow RM30k to join LB, then you must think of your social responsibilities to your friends and family.

p/s: Pardon me for having to keep all the name anonymous. Afterall, it's other people's family problem, we are not fit to critic but only to bring the sense to others out there.

Lampe Berger worth doing?

I got a few comments, though. When a population rise, it doesn't mean that the wealth per person becomes less. Wealth is created, not by having more money, but having more people supplying more products and services that others want. Don't get it?

For example, lets look back at the Spanish conquerors of the South America. They thought by getting more gold from the natives and shipping it back to their country, they would be wealthy.
But the problem arises, when there's too much gold, and nobody supplies something. When supply is low, prices goes up.

Wealth doesn't mean having more money, or gold.

Massive amounts of gold and silver were imported from the New World into Spain's coffers. However, in the long run this hurt the Spanish economy much more than it helped it. The bullion caused high inflation rates, which undermined the competitivenes of Spanish industry and commerce (its effects being discussed by the ubiquitous School of Salamanca and the arbitristas).

i have some points to share with all of u, no matter u're pro- or anti-LB, i hope it helps you to think of whether what u're doing is in the right direction or not.

frequently, i've heard the same talk by MLM agents, when explaining the benefits of their marketing plan, about the uncertainties of ur future. They'll ask questions like;

1) "what if u met an accident and u died/paralysed without any source of income left for ur family?",
2) "what if u lost ur job and due to ur qualifications/age/gender, there are not much job opportunity for you?",
3) "if u work for ppl, u're nobody, u're not important, u're used for other ppl's benefit, u have no dignity, blablabla..."
4) "why do you want to work for someone else till pencen, when u can be ur own boss?",
5) "why put ur effort to generate income for others when u can do it for urself?"
6) "don't u want to earn more money and retire early?"

and many others and so on and so forth...

sometimes, these questions does arouse ppl's thoughts, especially for those who had worked for some time and found little enjoyment or returns from it. it also got some young minds thinking, bcoz they dont want to go through such hardship to attain something. we all know how hot blooded young ppl are. how much they want to find short and easy ways to everything.

thus these situations sets the perfect condition for MLMs to feed into ur fears. in one way of speaking, they present itself to be an alternative route to reach that pedestal high up in the sky. they promise u high income that seems unreachable by just working. they promise u a future where everything is secure and u can just laze around shake legs till the day u die.

but is it? have we ever sit down, and pour on a deep thought about this? is working really bad? is the experience that u can learn from that doesnt worth it? when challenge comes in ur work doesn't it teaches u to persevere and to emerge hardier than before? oh, it's so hard eh? so what makes u think that to recruit ppl into ur "marketing plan" is any easier? what difference it makes from working?

ok, so some will say, it's the rewards that matters. u work hard find downlines now, in the end u will succeed! u will reach higher level and better rewards. u can go higher! so what difference it makes from working hard (as an employee) now, learn all the stuffs, be an excellent employee, get promoted, get salary increment?

No matter how much u'd like to believe how high u're in LB as a count or marquis, u're still as comparable as to a middle management employee. yes, u do have ppl under u, yet u still have ppl above u! Yes, MLMs can promise that u can reach this and that level, but actually, how many did? It's the same as the corporate ladder, where only few who may clinch the title of a CEO, Managing Director, General Manager, blahblahblah... so wats the difference between working for some companies with working in MLM? u work for the one above u too! they say u work for urself, but ironically, those above u earns a portion of ur "income" too! What kind of "Ur Own Boss" is this?

oh, some will talk about job security... what happen if u get retrenched? frankly, if u've been working hard improving urself, with ur capabilities, u dont have to fear ur company retrenching u. when a retrenchment occurs the company trims off excesses, but retains the best to keep the company running. in fact the company needs u more than u need them. it all depends on how u play ur cards. have u been improving urself? have u proved urself to be invaluable to ur employer? an employee that they can't do without? in fact the boss cant do everything by himself, can he? so, keep this in mind, the boss is stupid. he employs you to do things that he dont know how to do!

oh, MLM agents also talked about the amount of income. what if the economy is bad, and company has to cut down on spending, thus ur salary also affected? but do they ever tell u that their high figure income from their "marketing plan" is not guaranteed to pour in forever also? they still have to recruit in order to generate "income". so where is the security in that? what will happen when the market reaches saturation and there'll be no more interested prospects for recruitment? frankly, when economy is bad, how many ppl would want to spend hundreds on some fragrance lamp? or better still, how many ppl would have the money to pour in to join as franchisee (rm2345) or upgrade to count (rm30k)? everybody would tighten their belt for sure!!

fine, they may argue about the ever rising population so the market is there, but have u ever thought that when populations rise, a nation's wealth pie has to be shared with more ppl? in the end everyone will get smaller portions. and where will u get ur money to invest into ur so-called "business" then? if u dont work in the first place, where do you find the money to throw into ur "business"? LOAN?

well yes, why not? ur upline says that all business starts also borrow money from banks to start their business. so it must be true. NO. not entirely true. allow me to share some business knowledge with you. Smart, shrewd and successful businesmen will try to minimise their debt amount and any other financial obligations in their business. for the established business, they offer shares and u get capital from share buyers. by issuing shares does not neccessarily mean ur company have to go to the board or trading in stock market. there's more to how to gain capital to start a business but i would have to write a textbook for it.

Meanwhile for a start-up, instead of loans from the bank, they offer partnerships and profit sharing with their suppliers and/or distributor and/or resellers. supply now, sell, earn revenue and profit. pay agreed % of profit to offset the cost. done deal. and u dont have to bear interest cost nor the risk of the banks knocking on ur door. Some will say, hey, that's what DCHL is already been doing! They supply the lamps, YOU sell, DCHL give urewards as profit sharing la, rite? So why the hell are you paying rm2345 and/or rm30k for??? I'm talking about starting up with extremely low or ZERO cost lah!! wan some examples? Bill Gates' first step was to sell his first tic-tac-toe software game at the age 13. Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, started off with minimal cost as Google is actually spawned from their PhD research project. Now who said belajar tinggi-tinggi also tak guna?

now, let's talk about in case of death/paralysis. u cant work, no income, who'd be supporting ur family then?? well my man, that's what SOCSO, EPF savings and insurance are for! Insurance has been introduced for decades and it has certainly serve it functions. do u have a personal insurance plan? well if u dont , it's time to consider one. Insurance has been in the works even when there are no MLMs promising u this and that. what's wrong with sticking to a tried and tested method? it may not has the speed nor size of reward like some MLMs, but it certainly has guarantees.

Let's tak about "Dignity" of 9-5 jobs. frankly to me, it's a subjective matter. How many ppl are actually satisfied with their jobs. Not many, i can say, but we cant deny the fact that there are still ppl who are proud with and love what they're doing. Or the number of ppl who actually strives to make their work conditions better. Keep this in mind. Dignity of a job depends on ur attitude towards ur job and not how ppl perceive ur job as... they're not u and u're not them. and u have no obligation to please them save for urself.

Nevertheless, i'm not saying that all MLM agents are bad, or doing direct selling is useless. There are ppl who're just born for that "job". It falls back on whether u're that "type" of person or not. Be honest with urself and ask ur heart. is it really so good? there's a chinese proverb that says, "there'll always be masters in every field (of work)" (for for chut zhong yuen, read in cantonese). Do what u want or enjoy. Do what u does best. Do not let promises of wealth blind you.

As you guys know, me and LB help with Andrew had a meeting at Sunway Pyramid Starbucks.

We discussed on some issues, and where we should go from there. I won't really disclose what we are going to do, but we got some plans.

After that I dropped by DCHL NDO. For those who don't know what's NDO is, it's New Distributor Orientation held once every 3 months. It was quite a commotion. There were individual groups, and they were cheering and clapping for new guys who has just joined in. Just imagine you are a rock star...and you got a bunch of people cheering for you. Well, you have to build some team spirit, and physcho them to find more people.

Then I look inside the Sunway Convention Center hall, and it just made my eyes popped out. I have been here a few times, but I never thought they will use the whole space combined. There are 3 halls, if i can recall which can be combined into a bigger one.

I could estimate there are around 2000 people over there. But some LB members might have brought friends. It's quite a distressing sight. 90% are youngsters. There is no future in this business, except making money at the expense of others. A lot of them would be burnt.

Oh ya, I did saw Steven Yeam in person. I was thinking of getting a photo opportunity over there, but it's too dangerous. I could have get killed if anti LB has a face.

So, guys, please promote anti lampe berger, spread the word through online and offline, sms, emails, friendsters.

Don't let your friends and families join this ridiculous pyramid plan of DCHL lampe berger.

Essential oils and Isopropyl alcohol

It seems a bit weird when I searched for Isopropyl alcohol and found out this. Isopropyl alcohol is a major ingredient of rubbing alcohol, used for massage.

And it does not need to cost a bomb. 4 litres of essential oils will cost the distributor more than RM 400 at least, and that's distributor's price.

DCHL essential oil 4 litres = 4000 ml, price is more than RM400
Rubbing alcohol 4 litres = 8.46 bottles (1 bottle 473ml) x USD 1.09 = RM 35.04 (after conversion rate 3.8)

Ok, I admit Lampe Berger oils has much higher percentage of Isopropyl alcohol at 90%.
And they have ozoalcool (but I really don't have much idea what this is).

But this shouldn't make the product so much expensive?

In fact, why not buy rubbing alcohol, and use it as essential oils when you ran out of essential oils? It's far more cheaper.

And another worrying thing is, Isopropyl alcohol should be handled with care. It's not some simple substance, and may have hazardous effects if prolonged exposure.

Now, apart from Lampe Berger, I have seen other MLMs that have something in common. It's mind control. How they do it, is an eye opener. For example, why would they have talks, where they will showcase luxuries, expensive cars, and highly charged talks? Why the first thing they show you in their presentation, is a big house, a vacation in paradise, a fast car? It's all part of their brain washing activity. I have been to a few, and it shows how well the organisers have planned it.

Now there's something more subtle to this. You have to have skills to brainwash people. Heard the term Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) ? It was heavily researched by two guys in the seventies, and this is the product of their research. They wanted to study how successful people behave, and what are their traits are.

Basically Neuro is for the neurons connecting to our brains, where we receive the 5 senses from our environment. Linguistic is about language (verbal and non verbal), and Programming is the way or methods to alter.

So, it means you can use NLP techniques to change the behaviour of someone. You can make it to close sales as I found out in this link:

Here's the real actual DCHL marketing plan. I have added some notes on how you can be successful in this business.

The real benefit is in investing count.

Now, you can either climb your way up slowly from the bottom to reach Count level. Or you can do either 3 things:

1. Develops 3 direct Baron (remember to qualify for baron, you need to have 5 Franchisee)
OR
2. Accumulates a Personal Sales 360,000 PV (equals RM 45,000)
OR
3. Achieve one time Personal Sales of 300,000 PV (equals RM 37,500). And yes, they call this promotion. Here is where Cut Count means. You pay to get up faster.

Now, once you reach count, you will start benefiting from the Count Generation Bonus of up to 6 levels. Notice, at Baron, and Franchisee, you don't have such bonus.

If you noticed, the higher up levels (Marquis, Duke, Arch Duke) also has this Count Generation Bonus. In fact, they (Marquis, Duke, Arch Duke) has added advantage such as:

1. Marquis Personal Group Bonus: 2%
2. Marquis Generation Bonus: Total 6%
3. Duke Generation Bonus: Total 2%

10: It's a get rich pyramid scheme, and this is illegal.
No, no, no....government is not a pyramid structure, banks are not a pyramid structure, schools are not also. So, why compare DCHL marketing plan as same as others. It is not. Normal companies don't go and hire more and more staff, or just get more and more dealers. There's a limit to the numbers in the organisation itself. And yes, you need qualification, depending on which organisation you are joining. In DCHL? everyone can join. As long as you can pay up.

9: Success rate is less than 1%.

And now, thanks to the intensive brainwashing by Steven Yeam Network SYN in DCHL, they believe that shaking leg also, can get easy money. This is not the right value that you teach to the young generation.

7: You will get alienated from your peers, families, and close friends.
Just come to grips with this. If you really appreciate your integrity in your relationship with others, don't join. A lot of your friends will soon ignore you. They will just label you another guy who wants to make use of them, and this is sad. I have a well respectable guy in school, and now he joined another MLM. Since then, I heard complaints from others, saying they are very dissapointed with his attitude. Friends don't make profit out of friends. Appreciate your social capital.

6: The product is too expensive.
It's definitely too expensive for the average middle malaysian family. Who would buy essential oils a few hundred bucks? If it's too expensive, it's only suitable for higher income group. And to have college kids selling these stuff? It does not make sense.

5: Your resume doesn't sound good.
For all the young LB members, you won't want to put Distributor of Lampe Berger in your CV or resume. Trust me, you won't. If you really appreciate your younger years, where you still have lots of energy, I advised you to find better work. Real work, where you can learn more on your degree, or whatever you are pursuing. LB business is a no brainer. Everyone can do it. It does not give the needed experience to be a real professional.

4: Money is not the only motivation in life.
Yes, they will tell you, you need money for everything. It's true, but it's not the only thing. Success doesn't mean having a lot of money, or driving a BMW. It means achiving something that you really wanted, like joining the orchestra, or running a 10km marathon, or finishing a cool project. You don't have to sell your integrity in this business, to get more money to achieve your dreams. You can already achieve it.

3: You are wasting your precious time & money.
Day after day, getting prospects, talking to them, for this business, is totally wasting your precious time. Many have realized DCHL is a scam. Furthermore, you need a heavy investment up front, which fits right into the reason why this is considered a product based pyramid scheme.

2: You don't want to live for your uplines.
This business is such that, your upline can earn what you have earned up to 6 generations. Another red flag for product based pyramid. Why would you want to work so hard, and benefit those at the top?

1: DCHL business will collapse.
Yes, it will one day. Just like holiday magic, century diamond, giraffe world, skybiz, dragonsummit, bighoohaa. Basically, it's design is meant to self destruct. And I am pretty sure, those already profitted, will be far away, when this happens. As for the downlines, and middlelines, just wonder how are you going to answer back to those who have joined and lost money?

Since a lot of people mostly (pro-MLM person), would like to emphasis on MLM is the business structure of the cutting edge stuff, yet the truth is always bitter, according to my research, it turns out to be false. The earliest form of MLM were started by the Amway around 70s~80s. So, anyone pitching about how “Cutting Edge” MLM are, please don’t use that phrase again.

“Door-to-door” & “The Hostess” are earliest form of MLM before combining the franchising idea. Whereas MLM is a business model that combines direct marketing with franchising. At the early development of MLM, these company found themselves facing the problem that they overproduce product (in financial terms a.k.a. poor market dynamic), hence more money have to spend on inventory storage, which ultimately resulting in greater cost. So, how do they solve this crisis? So, they introduced motivational system (Brainwashing) into MLM, resulting a group of total depended users. So, some clever guy might pointed out that in Lampe Berger it won’t happen such thing because it sounded more like an daily consume product (e.g. soap, detergent… etc.), right? But the truth that I brought up this is try to imagine, motivational materials are needed even for selling daily usable product, how about a product such as Lampe Berger, which is known for it’s pricy collectors’ lamp? Try to imagine Lampe Berger without the motivating classes/seminars?

For those who don’t understand this paragraph, please refer yourself to (http://www.vandruff.com/mlm.html) this webpage explains the fundamental flaws in MLM. I am merely comparing Lampe Berger to Amway, which is often using as a bench mark to justify other MLM. Looking only in the types of product that they offer it would be very easy to spot that, there is a serious problem in these lamp’s Market.

Some might pull out the triumph card, where something similar often being said “If it doesn’t work, why does it exist?”. It is not questionable that MLM works, since so many companies adopted the structure, and success. Comparing to the conventional business it would be very obvious that MLM is just like an infant, a lot of work needed to be done in legal issue and a great deal of time is needed to patch up some major loop holes. And to do that, people need to understand the full-picture. So, please don’t stereotype those that opposing your view as a Negative person. In fact what you did it information control (a way of mind control). Some might even came across some roguish comment claming we don’t understand the nature of the business, discrediting other people without any proof, some even ended with some ridiculous speech, such as “Why don’t go to report to police?” Oh! Please, these kinds of cases are to report to “Kementerian Perdagangan”. And I don’t think that is the best way to approach this issue, as one says the Wiseman solve problem before they arises, vise versa. So stop ranting nonsense when you were asked to defend your business, rather I would prefer proof.

People now tend to sale the opportunity than the product. And lamps are merely use as a disguise to fool government officer. (Look! We Sells Lamps!)

“Pyramid schemes will not buy back unsold inventory. Such schemes will collapse very quickly if there is this condition for re-purchase of goods.” – True! Black and White they did stress out that they will buy back, but in reality there is a lot of deception upon refund issue.

“Pyramid schemes are get-rich quick schemes. The nature of the pyramids, in which large numbers of people at the bottom of the pyramid pay money to a few people at the top, clearly explains why the scheme cannot sustain itself for long.” – Okay, let’s be fair, some says it is and some say it isn’t, I think I will let reader justify themselves on this. But showing off fancy cars, shiny jewelries, and claming one could being “Financial Independent” within few years ~ what do you all think?

“Position could be purchased.” – Let’s see, with RM 30,000 a person can bought what? Hmmm… I guess, position really can be sold at Lampe Berger! This makes it another True!

“Pyramid schemes are not concerned with repeat sales to users of the products. Profits are made on volume sales to new recruits who buy the products not because they are useful or attractively priced, but because they must buy them to participate in the scheme. As a result, new participants are stuck with products that are way below the market value in relation to the high entry fees paid by them. Should the pyramid scheme collapse, there is no way for the participants to recover their "investments".” – High entry fees?!! RM 2345 is it highest among MLM companies? Who knows? Maybe some position buying MLM with the price tag RM 30,000 are the highest (wait a minute, isn’t both of them from the same company?). Hmmm… products below market value… I think a search on ebay will give a clearer description on this issue. So, I guess another True!

“Promoters of a pyramid scheme are engaging in fraud, knowingly deceiving participants in the schemes.” – True! By not telling the risk a person undertaken prior to introducing them into the business, and exaggerating the power of aromatherapy, in not only ill moral, they are deceptive. (D

o “Participants in a pyramid scheme have no choice but indulge in inventory loading/high fees to participate.”

o “Participation is essentially based on recruiting, not necessarily on the sale of products or services.”

– Both are similar to above, so, I guess will have concluded as True.

“Pyramid schemes have been outlawed throughout the United States and many countries many countries around the world.” – Uncertain, because I don’t have proof! (this is were where is really dislike a lot of MLM distributor, they so easily claming stuff that they just heard without showing any proof )

Yes, you all do sell “Lamps”, yet, why do they prefer recruiting people than selling these magnificent lamps? I don’t even recall once I met a Lamper Berger distributor approach me talking solely on Lamps, most of the time these Lamps are merely pawns to lure people interest. Okay, let’s says some of the INEXPERINCED distributor abusing the flaws in this business, but why even among high level (Marquis) also emphasised on the system part rather than the product? Well at least they are being HONEST in what their intention. Strangely, I have to admit that I do adore the Marquis perverted honesty.

Lastly no matter how hard you argue, it is still a money game, allow me to explain:

Using the 8 ball/passenger network, let says in a 4 level of binary expanding network tree, the blue circle represent a person who earn himself a higher ranking (e.g. count). The blue circle required to sustain the network in order to maintain position. Now please look at the a macro situation where we assume no loss in numbers of member in first pyramid diagram, and we assume the lowest 8 person get their own 4 level of people, where they now are promoted to be one of the blue circle. So, looking at the picture we can see, the numbers in red circle increased exponentially where as the ones in blue increase much slower. With an 88.1% of loser/supporting person in the system, then percentage will only grow higher as the pyramid grow bigger. If in a world where people will just pop up and increase with the speed of the pyramid expanding, it would be an ideal structure to operate, but in reality, populations are constrains be limited resources, strategic locations, degrees of education… etc. People won’t be able to breading like pigs. That’s why market saturation factor kick in. Looking at the RM 30K position buying mechanism, it is terribly wrong, because it is like adding petrol on madly burning fire – why do I say so? In order to maintain one’s position he/she must maintain the structure of network/pyramid, but smart DCHL – operating under the product name of Lampe Berger created a short cut, where people at the bottom base supporting the structure suddenly come up with the money to skip a level, the structure will definitely crumble. So, why haven’t it crumble? This is the main reason that they are targeting fresh graduates or even undergraduates to join into the system so that they can manage to remedy the instability caused by the short cut they have created.

So, let’s change a different perspective looking at this matter, Mental issue! Yes, I’m not saying people get crazy (but close enough). When we were brought into some meeting/seminars they will always says starting the “BUSINESS” it’s like a piece of cake, but when people really did try and fail, they claim that they:

You where not part of a wining team
You didn’t submit yourself into the system
LAZYNESS
NO heart
Easily influenced by negative
NOT willing to commit
Did not apply the 3 powers!
You gave up

Hmmm… I guess it isn’t really as easy as what they said, isn’t that unethical? Claming one thing at first and then blaming then when they quit? I’m not saying those joined and didn’t do anything, what I’m saying is those that really gave up a lot of time participating it and found themselves facing a lot of problem. This will certainly put people into confusion because the only thing they know is blaming themselves, since they were told so many times that people fails because the reason stated above. There is a free book on talking how a former distributor experienced when he is trying to get out from MLM (http://www.merchantsofdeception.com/), the higher the distributor position is when he decided to get out, the more harsh it would be in his mind to accept the reality and moving one with his life.

Finally, I do hope people have come to their senses before joining MLM Company, especially Lampe Berger operating under DCHL (MLM + Motivating Material). And by the way, please don’t lose your temper, don’t use vulgar words. The one thing that separates us from them is that we are able to tell what is right. Where as those that totally plug into the corrupted system, are ignorant and most of the time denying reality by using improper words. And yes, he got that 30k after much persuasian. I went with my another bro, and screw him upside down, with some vulgar language you can imagine right at the center of the LB office counter. He said "you don't believe I can do it ?". I was like, fuck, 30k.

Then we went outside, and discuss more stuff with his marquie, and he mentioned 90% of stuff can be refunded within 6 months (exception on some items).

Some of the members try to explain to us how this game works. We really didn't want to listen. Fuck.

Good thing is, probably me and my second brother made quite a scene at the office. No, we didnt throw chairs. We did restrain ourselves a bit. But my second brother is much more pissed off than me.

Cheap Lamps

Try to search for some lampe berger lamps. It's not as expensive as you think. For example, we got this:

DCHL retail price: RM 222.00

And one of the signature lamps (expensive range)

Now, the point is, why would I buy from DCHL, when I could get it from online far more cheaper? Most have already questioned why the dual pricing exist. Isn't it a bit funny when you ask people to sell lamps, and you ask them to sell at ridiculously expensive price?

But probably LB members should be more afraid on this issue. First of all, lampe berger products are a bit new to the market. Asians probably think, why should I need one. Secondly, the expensive pricing is not going to attract lots of buyers.

Furthermore, the refill is a bit expensive. Refill is going to make up most of the recurring business. If you have too expensive refill, people are just going to stop using it.

If you really need a lampe berger lamp, try buying online. You can save a couple of bucks.

Your job sucks

Yes, your job really sucks...they will tell you. You don't earn enough, you get stuck in traffic jams, you work nine to six...

Yes, in fact the traffic jams make it worse.

Yes, your job may suck, but lets look at why you got a job in the first place.

Bosses, capitalist by nature, give out jobs not because the really feel like doing some charity, or they think giving jobs is their social responsibility. Nah...not all of that corporate vision you see at your office is true. Profitability is priority number one.

Giving a job to you means that they want you to add value to the company. Whether all the skills and knowledge you have can help the company grow, and in time, you can grow too. Bosses really appreciate a person who can do things well, help run the company, and adds in to the profit margin. And to show his appreciation, he would give you bonus, or increments.

Now, there's always a bit of conflict on what you should get for your pay, and what the boss thinks he can pay you. I can't comment this on all bosses, some of them too calculative, and some are ok. But the smarter bosses knows how to pay well.

Just some advice to young grads, or studying in college, take whatever pay you can, for the job you think you can grow. Where you learn to do stuff, and eventually you could learn more on the tricks of the trades. This stuff, they never teach you in college. Money should be secondary. If company B offers more stuff to learn and grow, but less pay than A (company A is a dull big enterprise), then you should choose B.

Company C is lampe berger. Please...don't choose this one. You do learn some stuff, and get rich fast (if you succeed), but it's not as roses as you think. It's not a real job:

1. You pay to get a job??? (RM 2345)

2. Your income is not fixed. Now this is a problem, I don't know how rich LB members buy cars, but I got a friend (working in a local bank) who told me, MLM members have problems in loans approvals from banks to buy cars or house. Why? because their pay slip is not fixed. Getting 10k this month doesn't mean you get it every month.

3. You can bribe to go up the ladder (RM 30k)

4. There's no fixed working hours. In fact, you work every hour of your life, 24/7/365 thinking of getting in prospects. The thoughts of this makes me shudder.

5. You are in a business where your college education are misused. After all the hard work, and you sell lamps?

Oh, and everyone does get stuck in traffic jams.

Who's your customers?

Every business needs to know who are their customers. Not everyone buys from you. The society has it's own strata, age groups, preferences, and you need to be smart to play with these factors. It also depends on what you are selling.

This is called market segmentation. Basically, this is how you should view your potential customers. Which group do they belong? What are their needs? What are their problems? And what your product can help to solve or supply them.

Now, we have a problem here. Lampe Berger has nice lamps, and their market are college kids? or graduates who just started out to work? I would like to think that Lampe Berger market belongs to higher class of the society. Only rich folks can throw money on these items. This is why it's so hard for youngsters who joined, to sell the lamps. By looking at the product, we can already judge which group of market it belongs.

Well, want to know why market segmentation is important? Since you know that a certain group of people buys your stuff, the chances of recurring revenue goes up. They will keep on buying your stuff, if you serve them well.

But then again, what I said above, only applies to normal companies, MLM companies such as DCHL uses a lousy pyramid plan, and inflates the demand of products from all segments of the society.

If you are young person reading this and plan to join Lampe Berger, don't only think of the money you will be earning (this is illegal anyway), think of whose your customers. Is the guy struggling hard in studies in college going to care on a lamp? Well, perhaps, if he needs it in case the electricity goes out.

But I seriously doubt it.

Branding Gone Haywire

You walk past MacDonalds, and you think to yourself, "I could have something fast and reasonably price over here for lunch".

You hold a Nike baskeball shoe and think "michael jordan"

There's always something that we associate a certain brand with.

Proton "cheap, low quality national car...but everyone drives it"

And brand building does not come cheap. It takes time, advertising, and strategy to tell the public what your brand stands for. And people tend to be very attached to their brand, even there's an equivalent product, with the same quality to get from.

Now lets see what we can think of Lampe Berger so far. Well, this depends on who you are asking.

LB members: "More than 100 years old, very good, and plus you can make money from it"

Non LB members who hasn't know the plan yet: "A lamp ????"

Non LB members who knows the plan, but decided not to join: "Cheats people money, too expensive, pyramid scheme...con people"

Now the problem for Lampe Berger branding doesn't comes from the quality and design of the product. It's quite nice but too pricey, imho. The problem arises when a bunch of networkers are sellling the lamp, using the MLM plan. The pyramid plan causes lots of failures, which people will think it's cheating..thus tarnishing the century year old name of lampe berger.

Does Lampe Berger really wants this? I doubt so.

If DCHL keeps on this MLM plan, with loopholes in it, it's a certainty more and more people will associate lampe berger with cheating, pyramid, con, and get rich quick schemes.

By the way, Lampe Berger is a nice name, it means "Shepherd Lamp".

Get Big Fast....

When Jeff Bezos launched Amazon, he wanted it to grow fast..very fast...

He picked up the smartest people, get them to work, spend a lot of money on advertising, and created a e-commerce success. When internet was still in its infancy, he has thought on the idea of selling online. Books was the first category sold, then it branch out into other products.

Now, why does Jeff wants this so badly? It's like this, when the market is still fresh, you have to do lots of land grabbing, staking your piece of claim before some one else does that. It takes a visionary to see things in the future, but the guy who thinks and does it first, relentlessly, have a higher chance of success.

The other dot coms....most went buzz...but if you have read the stories on dot com bust...it mainly got to do with "Get Big Fast" mentality. Amazon was a survivor.

The problem with geting big fast is, it can become unmanageable. Suddenly you got to worry on so many things running a company. Accounts, deliverables, datelines...inventory,...it just piles up. And if you couldn't clear the mess...you will be overloaded. When you can't think, and stuck with day to day work, the initial goal of where you are headed becomes hazy...ever noticed why so many big companies, mentioned streamlining, cut cost, refocus on their main agenda? It's just another way of saying "lets refocus on our core business". All others are secondary.

Now that's normal companies.

MLM companies have a better strategy to grow fast. Networks, and networks of people, that does the selling, pitching, advertising, transporting the goods for you. Well, which company doesn't want to grow? Soon you will find products that are not needed in the market suddenly receiving demand.

But you see, recruiting more people into the business is actually mathematically challenging. Take for e.g. DCHL. 1 recruit 5 person.

By the way, maintaining so many people under you, would be a nightmare...And it's not easy. You got to meet people after people who might buy or not buy into your plan. Some might accept it, some might not...How many people can you talk to a day? What's the success rate like? The countless nites spending time doing this is luxury? oh wow...

This is the main reason why so many quit...after finding a hard time prospecting.

Growing big only means one thing, the company profits go sky rocket high, just like what the bosses expected. The network? Fed on a bunch of dreams....

RM 30,000 to invest

I have went to the LB office at the HLB building before, just want to check out and meet a fellow LB member for appointment over there.

First thing is, you will notice it's a spanky, well designed office, with their products (lamps of course, and essential oil) behind individual glass cells on the wall. It seems like the whole place is a bit crowded, some purchases being made at the counter, a grand picture on the wall, which paints the lampe berger history, some ladies on the counter maning some Estebell products.

Then on the announcement wall, you could see a list of person who have made it to marquie, count...

Then on the ground floor itself, there's an appoitment room, enough to fit 100 persons, filled with round tables and chairs for each. First thing you will notice, is mostly guys and ladies over there (LB members) dress in black suits. Apparently it's quit a smart dressing. Not bad, I am impressed.

There's another bigger room/hall on the second floor, to accomodate more tables and chairs. A lot of them.

Seems like on each table, LB members are trying to sell the "marketing plan", once in awhile showing the product, but mostly explaining the intricacies of the marketing plan.

So, I get to meet a Marquie, who let me browse the catalog for awhile, but apparently, he can't really converse in English, so I was introduced to his downline, another lady. Business is business, she just jump right into the marketing plan, drawing a circle, and underneath below it 5 more circles (it's the marketing plan..stupid).

The she went on and on rattling on the benefits of the "marketing plan", how much money you can make from it. I don't really bother at that period, because I have already know that marketing plan is what they are trying to sell you. Not the lamp.

There's quite a lot of activities on the second floor, young people (I think most of them either still in college or just starting their careers) all around.

It bothers me, other MLM plan doesn't really bothers me. What bothers me, is how they influence you to fork up RM 30k to become Count. My brother (who joined), has an upline who is the same age, still in college, and had borrowed RM 30k from relatives, parents...., just to become Count at such a young age. Imagine a college guy investing RM30k into such a business. That answers the question why most uplines can afford luxuries.

Eventually my brother demanded the 30k from my father. I tried to talk him through, but apparently it seems like their programmes of brain washing do work well. I told him to start from the bottom (franchisee), but he is adamant to get the 30k.

Be carefull of joining in at Franchisee level RM 2345. It's just a lure before they urged you to upgrade to Count.

No, don't join. Go do some other real work. Not a bunch of people selling marketing plan and thinking the best life is shaking leg doing nothing, and can get tons of cash. Yes, you do, all because it's just a pyramid scheme, sucking all the cash in. Bottoms are the lossers.

Probably a Ferrari at their Prestigious DCHL Gala Dinner answers this phenomena.

Yes, which item would you want? Do you want a Sonny Ericsson k750i, an Ipod Nano, or a lamp? Choose one. Come on, if you are young, even with not much cash in hand, you would want the first two, but the third? It sounds very weird if you really want a lamp, which just burns and fragrance the air around you.

Yes, the question is who wants it? Ask any sensible person, they will think
that having a cool gadget would be better to spend than dumping it on a lamp.
It's not even a gadget. There's no kewl stuff, like 3G, wifi, 6 Mega Pixels,
video....

A product has its own market, probably in France, where they
really adore fashion, and have high taste for a beautifully crafted products, it
would sell.

But to many asians in the middle income society, a highly
priced lamp is not something in their shopping basket.

Market demand will eventually determine whether the product can be sold in a localized market. If it can't sell, too bad. Go back to the drawing board and figure why asians won't
buy a lamp. Cut the price, do more marketing, adex, and see if you can sell it,
solely on market driven demand. Open an exclusive booth in KLCC like the rest of
the expensive brands. Surely some high class Malaysians would buy it.

But not some young teenagers. Nope, that is weird.

DCHL - product based pyramid schemes

This morning I received an email from Mr Jon M. Taylor, who I have corresponded on the issue of DCHL. This is what he wrote:

And thank you for sending the compensation plan for DCHL. Based on our "5 Red Flags" analysis, I have added DCHL to the list of “recruiting MLM’s”, or product-based pyramid schemes. Where we have been able to get the data, we have found that in such schemes with all “5 Red Flags” in their compensation plans – at least 99% of participants lose money!

Keep up the good work. These schemes need to be exposed.

Here is what he meant by red flags (steps to determine if the mlm is a product based pyramid schemes:

Red Flag #1: Participants are recruited in an endless chain of participants.

Red Flag #2: Advancement in the scheme is by recruitment, rather than by appointment.

Red Flag #3: Participants are expected to buy (or subscribe to) products or services in order to qualify for commissions or bonuses or to advance in the scheme.

Red Flag #4: The company pays commissions and bonuses on more than four levels of participants. (LB has 6 generations...)

Red Flag #5: Company payout per sale for the total of all upline participants exceeds that for the person actually selling the product.
