'Cash scam' worry for dad 19 june 2006
Yesterday was Father's Day but there was no joy for Ho Ka Choon.
In fact, the 45-year-old kereta sapu(unlicensed taxi) driver from Johor Baru has been losing sleep ever since his
undergraduate son started dabbling in get-rich-quick direct selling some time ago.
What worries Ho most is the dubious nature of the direct selling scheme and that his son has been lying to him
and borrowing money from friends and relatives to raise RM30,000 needed to purchase
certain products that enable him to recruit more members and get commission from the scheme.
Ho told China Press his 21-year-old son, a second-year student of Universiti Malaysia Sabah,
was an honest and filial son until he was coerced into paying RM2,000 to join the scheme.
Now he is a sweet-talking salesman only dreaming of making it big, he said.
"My son told me that if he recruits five members, he can get 10% of the new recruits'
joining fee as commission, and if he then pays up RM30,000 (for products), he
will become a senior executive and enjoy up to 50% in commission," said Ho.
"My son wanted to borrow RM10,000 from me to advance his 'career' but I have
a feeling it (the direct selling) is a trap."
He said the scheme sounded too good to be true and believed it could be a scam.
Ho said after he rejected his son's requests for RM10,000 and the title of family land
to borrow money from a bank, his son turned to relatives and friends for help.
Apart from warning relatives and friends againts lending his son money, Ho
urged the government to enact a law to bar university students from taking up direct-selling.

most probably the market will be slow after the headlines.the number of recruitment for counts (45k)would be highly influenced i supposed and they might start with the rm 2k for easier recruitment first. but even 2k would eventually end up adding another 30k sooner or later (frm 2k is slow). the recuriting planning is absolutely man eating man's money and not acceptable!

他說，其女友是在大約2個月前加入有關直銷公司成為一員。她參加一個課程即需繳交3800令吉，首次購買該公司的保健產品則花了2000令吉。
他說，其女友為了快速升職，不斷向他借錢以購買產品。據了解只要買得越多，升職就越快，從1萬3000、2萬至5萬令吉不等。
他說，這家公司所賣的保健品價格都貴得令人咋舌。他們常進行會議，對其會員灌輸快速致富的觀念。

“大學生沉迷直銷事件”中的主角今日現身澄清，他不是如報導中所言，是一個欺騙父母或騙人錢財的“壞孩子”。
從事直銷行業的何姓大學生（21歲）今日表示，經過與父母詳細解釋一番后，父母終了解其工作的詳情和來龍去脈，父子倆也冰釋前嫌。
從直銷學新知
他說，因為父親何家春一時的誤解，錯誤詮釋其工作性質，才引發一場風波。
“我日前看到新聞報導后，被嚇了一跳，過后和父親說明了整個狀況，他才了解到事件真相，現在都沒事了，只不過報導卻為我帶來了困擾。”
不願透露真實姓名的何先生向《中國報》說，他是從網上獲悉該項報導，指他不腳踏實地，頻向父母和親友借錢，而且多次撒謊，令父母心痛不已。
為此，他即刻飛來西馬，向本報表明這只是一場誤會。
他表示，一些朋友在看到新聞見報后，頻頻追問他發生什么事，讓他感到不勝其煩。
另一方面，何先生表示，其實加入直銷行業，讓他學習到很多東西，如時間的管理等、責任感和紀律等。
他指出，由于學會擅用時間，在唸書時比較得心應手，因而在本學期的成績有所進步。
他表示，他是個大學生，具有分析事非對錯的能力，所以直銷公司並沒有幫他“洗腦”，引導他做不對的事。
針對報導中所提必須向公司繳交3萬令吉一事，何先生說，這不是公司規定的數字，胥視每個職員對自己的要求而定，3萬令吉是他為自己所設下的目標。

I guess that fake news is written by a syn lampe berger COWARD and it has never been published in china press website. If what we said is not true, please give us the website link. Indeed that the cases is getting bigger, now we even can see it on daily newspaper.
This LB pyramid scheme is like “Legal” “Black Mail”, let me explain why I say that. Have anyone watched “Derailed” before? You will see how the person black mail their victim. First they will ask from small amount of money, and they will tell you after you pay they won’t come back disturb you anymore.
Ok, here start, if you pay them the first amount money they request. Now they will see how easy they can get money from you. They will start step 2, request more money from you, using your family and your personal ego. They will see how far you can go, they will try to get any single cents from you, then move on to the next victims.
Let me break few point here.
Case 1: They will see the first amount of money, is it easy to get you pay or not. If you able to pay for the first amount of money, then they will demand for next level amount of money.
Question: Do you see the similarity? First RM 2,500+ then second RM 30,000
Case 2: They use some material such as your family, your personal ego to bring down their victims
Question: Some LB did use family topic and your personal ego to encourage you to join their down line, so in future you can take the responsible to feed your family in better life. Let everyone proud on you, pray you like a god (successful man I mean).
