We have seen too much trouble caused by DCHL distributing Lampe Berger in Malaysia. It's time to hit back at this unethical MLM network marketing business pyramid plan.

Oh yeah...I almost puked when I saw his face with Winnie Lim again on the front page of The Star. He had used his PR muscle to show to malaysians how "generous" is his SYN network is.
Ever wonder how many lifes have been wrecked by this scam? My mail box is overflowing with ex LB members wanting to get out, or get refund. They are now in deep shit, owning tons of cash.
Actually, I've decided to go on with my life, and not update the blog. But somehow, there will always be people who gets cheated from time to time. And their business is still on going, even though I've had this blog for years.
If you want to get cheated in this money game, you are pleased to do so.

Yeah... nothing wrong with LB, but I know many of the Marquis quit the business - sell their BMWs and gone back to work/study...
Government approve LB and endorse them giving charity, Legal, doesn't mean the biz is ethical tho...
While there's nothing wrong with the business itself (because it's approved by govt), unfortunately there IS something wrong with the PEOPLE inside the business.

They started our coming to us and sharing their thoughts on LB, all of them were big graduates with great analytical skills and they came from well to do family backgrounds too.
They started out pretty fine, starting to build their networks, steven yeam even came to Melaka personally to give a speech in Equotorial Melaka. Definitely made a big hoo haa in Melaka for that particular month, even getting melaka’s press to publish in papers. Not long after, let’s say probably after about 6 months, each of them started purchasing BMWs, Mercedes, big cars that cost above RM150K. Many of the followers were impressed with their upline results. The catch is, these uplines didn’t need to join SYN or LB to purchase those cars but the downlines didn’t know that. They thought the uplines purchase those cars through LB. More and more ppl joined. Some folks aged of 45, manager of some manufacturing companies, resigned and decided to do full time because saw the results of their uplines. Threw away a month RM8000 paycheck to seek for a better future for their family.
About a year later, these luxury cars started to disappear from Melaka. Oh yes btw they even opened a shop in Melaka Raya for LB training centre. Lasted about a year and the shop closed down and now is taken over by a small time cafe. These seniors of mine sold of their cars in other states, and said now they are going down to KL to start their network. One of them even had to borrow his gf’s car because didn’t have a car anymore. Their family were well to do, forked out the downpayment for their cars but eventually they couldn’t pay the loan and therefore were forced to sell the car. Now they are back to getting a job.
I’m pretty glad they are able to get jobs again as they were below 30. What about the manager who was 45? Worked his ass up the career ladder without a degree but through hard work and experience. He is trying to get a job again but you know what? The companies now hired degree holders for less than RM2500 in Melaka to be able to do a better job than him. I don’t anti LB, but what has LB done to improve lives of others?
A successful marketing plan starts with the roots of the business which is a product. If a product can’t sell, how well the marketing plan is, what is it going to happen? Its not to say the product is bad, but its way too expensive. Average malaysian earnings are about RM3000~RM5000. Is it possible to sustain the product monthly? Where is the money coming in to the organization later?
I believe in MLM. Will believe in Amway or Elken coz their products are health or household products that are reasonable for the ppl. Aiming at niche market is big money, if it succeeds.

yeah..LB huh??i was inside there but quitting already..y??because the people inside there,they are too fanatic..thought that is the only way to become rich,but before you even live in comfort,u will suffer even more..the direct selling act(AJL) has prohibited to any buying a position,but inside there,buying positions rulez..honestly i told u..i had a lot of friend most of them students,but daringly to put theirselves into such a big debt(40k is quite a lot rite unless u r puke,oopss..duke)..do they think they will totally success??and not to forget,my upliners(upline upline) always encouraged me to do some upgrade,buying a position but i keep on refusing..hahahha...he is not good enough to make me put my self into 40k debts..but for 2.5k,he won..

just came back from a short working trip in singapore and guess what i found!!!???
the same lampe berger fragrance solution which is selling in malaysia for more than RM200-RM250, is only selling for SGD65 (around RM130) in a major department store along orchard road!!! like WTF!!!
and the container lamps are selling from starting price of SGD 100 compared to the many hundred ringgits as starting price being sold here!!! like what the fuck??? only 3 months ago some SYN con-men tried to sell me lamper berger worth thousands of ringgit!!! and there i was in singapore, seeing the same thing being sold for fucking dirt cheap!!!
those guys in spore don even have to go thru a MLM business to buy a lampe berger and they get it off the shelves for fucking cheap!!! and legit too! and what's more, the department store even dedicated a whole shelve to lampe berger... minus pesky MLM con-men to sell them!

Yea, they are a registered entity and government approved. But if I remember correctly, they are registered under the category of direct sales, and not MLM. I went to their office once, due to a friend's pestering... was nearly conned but woke up in time to realize it's a SCAM!
Since when do we need to fork out money when we wanna work part time or sumthing? Any company that requires you to PAY or PURCHASE sumthing before joining/ doing biz with them - is basically trying to part you with your money.
Therefore think twice, thrice or even 100 times (if you need) before paying!!!
Approach by my close friends couple of month back, I dont find this business workable as there is no solid foundation to the business.

i'm not (and never will be) part of the clan though just recently my best friend tried to lure me into joining. some people just don't understand that "no" actually means "no" - and to some people, money is not everything.

Once upon a time, a friend called me up saying that he wanted to buy me dinner and asked me to bring another friend along. Without making too much of it, we agreed as i was quite hungry to be honest.
En route to our original destination, my dear friend had to make a 'quick' stop at the DCHL HQ in kuching,and invited us to come up for a 'little while', while he grabbed some stuff.
There we were greeted by another guy,dressed to kill in an Armani suit (whos authenticity is yet to be verified :) , while i stood there, wearing my favorite heavy metal band t-shirt and torn jeans, dazed ,confused and somewhat amused to think that our friend had actually cheated and set us up into thinking we were really going for dinner while he was the one actually feeding us to this 'business seminar' of sorts.
First of all, first impressions do count. Which is why i guess they bothered to dress up all uber-formal even though they were all sweating through their thighs as the weather was uber-humid that night too. I did question his choice of attire that night and he responded by saying "To make us look more professional".
Hold on.
First of all you have to cheat,lie and trap people in order to get them to hear what you have to say. THIS WAS THE FIRST IMPRESSION. MAJOR FAIL on that one.
Secondly, you have to "LOOK MORE professional"? more than what? than you really are?
At this point i was already annoyed and doubted the credibility of the 'magic lamp' and its minions.
Anyway, i decided to stay on and listen about what the guy had to say. (Actually i had no choice as my friend was the one that drove that night). And what started out as a "quick" stop, became almost 2 hours of sales pitchings.
As the coffee table briefing was about to start, i could feel like the other people in the room were giving me odd looks, probably due to the fact of my lack of a Versace uniform in my wardrobe.
HOWEVER, the whole discrimination was NOT only caused by my lack of proper attire as i had first thought. The 'speaker' at our table finished off almost all of his sentences by translating it into a mashed up Bahasa Malaysia/Chinese local slang. This really ticked me off to the point where i just had to tell him that i could speak,understand and write English just as fluently or maybe even better than the next guy.
Not to sound worse off but just because i wasnt the same race as he was doesnt mean i didnt recieve a Tadika education.
The night went on with me trying my best to rebutt the whole concept of their SYN strategy, just to annoy the guy at first, but i still won some points along the way as some of my questions were never really given a straight answer.
Now, after my whole experience with the magic lamp,i am very prejudiced and skeptical towards DCHL and their members.
And i would like any pro DCHL members who posted comments here to tell me that its wrong for me to be prejudiced against you people AFTER the way you LIED and DECIEVED your way into getting my attention, and not to mention DISRESPECTED and DISCRIMINATED me in a number of ways? I dare you to move.
I dont wear Prada's or other monkey suits 24/7, I like EARNING my wage HONESTLY. And that shiny Red sports car will soon be more of a reality to me than most of you DCHL scammers will ever dream of. And i can proudly say that i earned it with my own blood,sweat and tears, while still having my dignity in tact.

I have a friend , called Colleen suddenly came to me on friendster after not meeting her for such a long time and she acted very nice to me , konon she misses me and she wants to go out ..
Ok look , first they will do something called FORMHD which stands for family , occupation , recreation , money , health and desire/dream. Where they will start asking friends out and get to know all these details about their friends .. Then they will select friends that have the potential being scam by them , and bring them to office ..
I was impressed when I went to the office at first , such big crowd , everyone's wearing so professionally , everyone have such nice smile on their face , the office look so high class .. Then they brought me to 3A and start asking people to explain to me about the marketing plan .. Colleen left me talking alone with this guy called Kenzo , and he's very very good at persuading me .. He said eventhough i have no money i can borrow from my friends , from there i can see which friend of mine are true friends and such .. Before I left he told me something very important konon , which is I can't tell any of my friends yet as I dont know much about this company yet .. One thing about them is no matter how many times u tell them that u have to go , u're rushing or anything but they dont care , they will still continue talking to u ..
So I was stupid enough to listen to him and started borrowing money from friends .. I've borrowed around 1300 from friends and apparently it wasn't enough to even be a franchisee which cost 2.5k .. And colleen never stop pushing me, she kept calling me and telling me i must join this month .. I was like ' why ? ' , she said ' because if u join this month , u will get ur return faster ' .. But I really couldn't get that amount of money and I tell her I can't join yet then she said ' ok since we're friends , ill cover the rest for you first , u have my trust in u and i want u to earn money as fast as u can ' So she started forcing me to go for this NDO which stands for New distributor orientation .. She promised that she will go with me and that she've managed to get ticket for us .. So on a Sunday morning we went for the NDO and last minute she told me that she can't go in with me because there's only one ticket and she insisted that i have to go in because i have to start learning how to do this business .. And she even made her friends convinced me to go on without her because her so called business parnters can be with me .. The NDO was just for stupid people to hear , talk about stupid thing , i was totally bored til death in it ..
Then the next thing I did was went for SYB which stands for Start Your Business .. In there , I felt very wrong .. They started to teach tactics on how to pull our friends into this business , and why those people say LB is scam because they themselves fail in this business that is why they're saying bad about it and that they are losers ..
Ever since then I started to feel weird abuot this business , so I've decided that I will quit , since they said I can refund 100% in the first month I've joined .. I've only joined for like 2 weeks though .. But when I call her , she started to tell me things like ' you must have the right mindset , keep being positive , dont ever think about refund ' All they know how to tell is that you have to be positive , positive and only positive .. Of course ! When we're positive , every bad thing we see will become good thing ! So I got mad and decided to quit no matter how , she said she would like to meet up with me so that she can sort things out with me ..
So we went out , and she wasn't alone again !! You know this is the shitty part of the SYN people , they can never talk to u alone , they must always bring someone !! So this Stephanie girl convinced me to stay , and I told them that Im determined to quit and they never stop convincing me.. I got really mad that I told them I really have to go and just went off ..
So I went home , and I started to get so many calls from the SYN people .. All of them asking me to stay , if there's any problem they will help me .. I told them I can't talk and yet they never wanna say bye , they just kept asking that I have to just put down my phone .. Then I also got lots of sms , telling me that I made the right choice to join this business and that Im part of them now that they will help me this and that blah blah blah blah ..
So I asked if I could refund my money and apparently I can't !! Why ? It is because I've touched the product .. It doesn't say in the agreement ?! And she was like ' dear , this is common sense..' So I get no money back , that is how they work things out .. When I first got the product , she kept calling me everyday and ask me to use it , konon wanna know whether it is good or not, actually she just want me to use it so that when i wanna refund i can't do it ! And yet right now she told me that I still owed her 600 because the products she took for me are way more than the money i've invest .. I told her that she can fucking keep the stuff and I am not paying her anymore ..
You know they are so fucking excited about the sports car they own , I really don't give a damn shit about those fucking cars .. And they kept telling that everyone can afford LV bags thats why I can see LV bags everywhere in the office , eventhough u just leave it on the table also nobody will bother to take it .. And say if it's a scam then why the office still can be so crowded .. For your info, those ppl in the company who earn big money are actually came from rich family thats why they can afford sports car , they drive sports car before they join SYN , not after ! I just hate it when they have to make it such a big fuss that there's sports cars in the office ..
So don't ever think about joining SYN .. They don't give a damn shit about u anymore after u've invested your money , they will just keep pushing u for them to earn more money .. And Im so glad I've only gave her 1.3k , but not 10k or 30k ...

Just came back from seeing a 'friend' today. After 2 years of not seeing him, I found him wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo shirt, nice slacks and shoes, and using a HTC Diamond. He tells me how much his life changed, earning close to RM10k a month.
Of course. The last time I saw him was 2 years ago, when he was working as a PUMP ATTENDANT at ESSO... miserable fella had to wash my windscreen that time.
So he brought me to lunch at Pavilion... only then I realized that I was setup for a 'gangbang' by DCHL people. 2 of his mates came by. 27 year olds driving BMW 3 series. Quit their jobs as engineers to pursue this 'business' as they were promoted to the rank of Marquis.
I followed them to their office, Menara HLA - The Home of DCHL, SYN, Estebel, Lampe Berger, Ed. Pinaud. They took 2 hours to show me the plan, introduced me to their superiors (some of whom I know through other friends). You know what, it's the EXACT same 'business' plan as QuestNet. Heh, sounds familiar?
I had 3 friends doing QuestNet when it was hot 2-3 years ago or so. That time, Lampe Berger 'died' for awhile, and QuestNet flourished. It was headed by a Datuk who famously got caught by our government while he was in Indonesia. (sorry I can't remember his name, he's an Indian guy)
That 3 friends are now back to their old lives, without the riches they were promised. And now I have this friend who's gonna join this list of 3.
What we're dealing with here is a very simple MLM pyramid scheme. Old trick, but still rampant as many people are easily fooled.
Just Google the names I provided. You'll find that there's no history behind them, although the DCHL people tell you that the brands are exclusive French products used by the Chinese emperor and all sorts. They showed me a certificate purpotedly to be from the Emperor of China. One look and you know, it's a simple photoshop job. The websites of these brands are inferior and poorly designed. Then you'll realize, all these products are MALAYSIAN, but branded as French. You don't see any other websites on Ed. Pinaud and Estebel. Not even Wikipedia entries. If something's really of high reputation, it must surely have a Wikipedia entry on it! :P
I'm glad that I have been exposed to previous cases and know how to deal with it. I just hope you guys out there don't become victims. Many blessings :)
i joined this company at 2004 when only 19th yrs old as Count (Invested RM30,000 borrow from my parents), I was naive enough! The plan is a scam. I Earn nothing but a bad name among my family and friends (and i found guilty because some friend of mine also borrow money to join the group and now having a hard time). I lost all my savings to pay the debts and lose my confident in dealing with my old friends.
The funny thing is, the marquis and duke who take me in now all of them quit and some of them even turn into a hawker (previously was a teacher!)
So, for the people who are considering to join, please think twice, DO NOT INVEST YOUR MONEY IN THIS SCAM! If really want, you can join the member 1st then you will see how hard to sell the product.
P/s: now only Mr. Steven Yam group is active, he is doing other business to survive, not LB!

Must thanks to those who have contributed and kept the thread alive here in Kopitiam. Bel-Air have closed in Malaysia . LB is almost zero in Singapore . This perfumery product from France with over 100 years history is just bottles and fragrance(check the factory’s website) but the Company marketing them in Asia claimed “aromatheraphy” products. Hong Kong TVB aired a program that exposed their scam but their members claimed that HK’s TVB already apologised to them. Note that the biggest strenght in a MLM Scam is their members will go all way out to lie in order to defend for their Company. The reason is simple; these members fear that they will not be able to make their money back if the Company collapsed. Knowing that the Lampe Berger products are moving slow, they add a line of skincare products named Estebel, also claime to have over 100 years history in France.(Hardly anymore Chinese newcomers, they are now tapping the Malays in Malaysia)

Last night (21/6) i attended the SYN New Distributors Orientation (NDO) at Berjaya Times Square. I wonder why there were many peoples especially our young youth. Most of us age between 20 to 30s and most of them still studying in colleges or local universities.The speakers (Duke position) gave so many encouraging words that amazed the audience. Even their success story grab many audience attention. I just came to this venue to sat and heard motivation tips. Not more than that!Believe me, audience will engage into this business if they just listen to the sweetest stories.Anyway i enjoyed the dinner without paying any single cents. My friend told me that the ticket to enter to such of these programmed are priced RM 150!!!

It is hillarious to think of how i defended my views on this business zealously as if its my religion.
The truth is Network Marketing is very deceiving and it cost a lot more than what u think.
To make a MLM work, u gotta have a SOLID product with strong REPEAT SALES from consumption (refer to principle laid in case of FTC v Amway).
Lampe Berger lacks that element. Which is why it makes it a cleverly disguised recruiting scheme.
There are greener pastures out there. Take what u had learned here and apply it somewhere else.
I nearly joined this buisness a couple of times, a couple of years back. Luckily I never did. Trust me, even though it is legal. It can be rather unethical and unscrupulous at times. The methods of business and the way they do it never agreed with me. Yeah, sure you get loads of monetary funds out of it. But at the cost of other people's money and trust. I don't think so. If you think this stuff is okay, believe me it's not OKAY. Cheers!

I'm Year 2 Diploma student, I'm ex CM in DCHL..
To be honest, I'm now really regreted of spending so much time and money in that company..I even postpone my studies to concerntrate in this..My relationship between my family and friends get DAMN bad because of it! I lost lot things compare to what I get back in return...
Now, I'm OUT of that company but I still baring the burden of the debt that I invested.There's more then 50k products at home, but I cant do nothing about it~
"upline" that gave us so many sweet promisses, did they care about the debt that we bare?? The relationship between our family crack ( which is priceless ) ?? What are we suppose to do if we cant move on???
What I can do now is just move on and work extra part time to clear ALL my debt, which I don't know till when I can clear it all...
Heartache..but, nothing that I can do much~
Hello friends please read utysan borneo article on mlm 26th of august anyone who fall for this scam please report to the police some cases people are shy or ashamed because they loan so much n end up getting desperate trying to cheat new ppl to join and eat their money but this is bcus they also got cheated by their upline together we have to bring down all this ppl including maria k ang get them to sell off their sportcars and house to pay back all the money from ex members or members that they hv cheated
if government approve it than we better believe it.
I'm one of the victims. Arghhhh.. could anyone help me? plssss.. now i'm suffered for the next 15 years to pay my loan. Damn! they said "U can try for 6 month, if u can't afford to do this business, then u can return all the product given to u (actually i bought it) and u can refund back 90% of your money". So, After waited for 6 months, i went to the office, the receptionist told me that, my refund period is expired because i've already exceed the redeem period, the truth is, i need to refund within not after 6 months! I'm totally fucked up!
